We won the game, by how much you may ask? I am proud to announce that our team won 12-5. I wouldn’t want to go on to say how bad the team is, I’m not like that and in all honesty they are a decent enough team. It’s just they need to work on their defence and some offensive skills but over all, they were alright to go against.

After the game we had some interviews and I was bombarded with reporters because I scored eight goals tonight and because I’m the captain. I actually hate doing these post-game interviews; they always seem to ask the same questions over and over again. And then there are the rare reporters that actually ask good questions that are worth answering instead of asking a common question but phrased differently. Tonight, I was unlucky though. Everyone was dull when it came to the questions and I almost wanted to shout but I didn’t and managed to keep my anger in.

With all that out of the way, I changed peacefully and waited outside for everyone else. As I did I checked my phone. Seeing messages that the boys had sent me during the game. They were basically live texting the game to me. This somehow brought me to their twitters and I saw that they were also live tweeting the game. Silly boys. Michael tweeted about running out of popcorn and forcing Luke to get it for him. Then there’s Ashton tweeting about how we manage to even play. Calum sounded a little confused, since he called the puck: ‘the round 3d rubber thing’. And lastly Luke.

I checked his last because I always save the best for last. I smiled all the time reading his tweets. Something about them made me smile. The way he publicly called me his ‘bestie’ and how he tweeted a picture of me doing a celly (celebration after a goal!) and of course me raising my stick up in the air in appreciation after being named the first star of the game.

“Please don’t tell me you’re looking at kittens.” God damn it. I jumped backwards a little and my phone flew up in the air and I managed to catch it right before it landed on the floor. I gave him a death glare but I guess my look isn’t so ‘deathly’ if it’s making him laugh. I readjust my large hockey bag on my shoulder, since it slipped a little to an uncomfortable position.

“What is it with you and scaring me Lucas?”

“I’m sorry but your scared face is absolutely hilarious!” Behind him I see the other boys, feeling upset by Luke’s actions; I push past him and happily greet the other boys.

“Hi Calum, Ashton and Troll!” Michael and I high fived each other.

“What about me?” Luke asked. But I ignored him. “Oh come on…” He playfully whined. “You’re not giving me the silent treatment, are you?” I was. I was indeed giving him the silent treatment. Since I wasn’t going to talk to him, I texted him instead.

Nicole: Serves you right for scaring me and laughing

Luke got the notification and read the text. Laughing by the end of it. If he keeps laughing, he’s just stretching the silent treatment even longer.

“Oh come on Nicole! Don’t do this to me!” Luke grabbed my shoulder and turned me around, wrapping his strong arms around my waist so I had nowhere else to go. “I’m sorry, alright? I was only playing around. I didn’t mean to give you a heart attack. I’m sorry I’m too handsome. I can’t help it.”

“You’re so full of yourself.” I said. And immediately realised that I just talked to him.

“HA! You talked to me! I’m your best friend.” Yeah. But what if I told you that I want to be more than that. I thought. “Wait, what?” Luke stuttered. I look at him confused and then I know what I did. I didn’t think what I thought I said in my head. I actually said it out loud. Luke released his arms from me and looked at me in an unreadable expression.
