I'm Not Excited [DISCONTINUED; REBOOTED]

A New Beginning - Author's Note

Well, hello! It's been an incredibly long time — and for that, I apologize.

It's been nearly three years since I'm Not Excited was first published. At the time, I was in the ninth grade and had recently turned fifteen. As I write this, I am a senior in high school, three days away from turning eighteen.

So, what am I getting at, exactly?

It's rather simple. As I re-read this story — one which brought so much joy and experience, as it pertains to my writing — I cannot help but feel dissatisfied with my work. It's one of the reasons this story stopped LONG before it should have.

I had intended to finish this story before the beginning of spring 2015. It never happened, of course. And for a while, I thought it'd be best to give faithful readers some kind of closure, in the form of revealing the end of the story. That, too, never materialized.

But I'm ready to take back my story.

Ladies and Gents, I am revamping I'm Not Excited, albeit with major changes. A new muse (goodbye, Karen Gillan!), a new title (Unbelievers), and a new direction with bits and pieces taken from my favorite plot points of this fic (goodbye, pointless chapters!). I'm excited to take on this, as my writing skills have only grown with the years. And yes; the original ending intended for I'm Not Excited will work its way into Unbelievers.

So get your Kleenex ready, reader. Mama's back.

P.S. Should Illyana's name be kept as Illyana's Romanov in the reboot? I'm thinking of keeping Illyana, though rid myself of the Marvel Comics inspired surname.
