I woke up, dizzy. The sun wasn't even up as I stumbled to the bathroom and heaved up the contents of my stomach.
"Jack? What's wrong?" Mark asked, having been woken by the sounds of my retching.
"Nothing." I said miserably. "Just a little nausea.
Mark laughed from the other side of the door. "If you were a girl, after last night I'd swear it was morning sickness."
I laughed a little, and doubled over in pain. What was wrong with me? This wasn't food poisoning.
I sat down on the toilet, my stomach still hurting. There was blood in what came out of me.
"Mark..." My voice shook.
"What is it?"
A memory flashed through my head, of reading over a friend's shoulder during biology as they did their Human Sciences homework.
Symptoms of arsenic poisoning may incluse vomiting, abdominal pain, encephalopathy, and waterey diarrhea that contains blood.
"I think I've been poisoned."
