CHAPTER SEVENTY-TWO

[ THE LAST MISSION ]

JAMILLA's POV

 

Ilang araw na ang lumipas, tulala pa din ako sa nangyari noong huli kaming nagkaharap ni Jared. Ni hindi ko na nga namamalayan, Golden Wedding na pala nila Mommy ngayon.

 

Yes, they promised that to each other once maabot nila ang 75's.

 

Nakakalungkot nga lang, I don't have anyone to share my old life with someone whom I'll love for the rest of my life. Yung mahal ko kasi...

Pagtapos noong sabihin sakin ni Jared na mahal niya ako, agad na umalis siya. He didn't even looked back at me dahil kung ginawa niya yon, he'll see me cry and the regret that was in my eyes.

 

Noon ko lang narealize, ang tanga-tanga ko pala. Kung bakit ba kasi self-centered ako masiyado. Tama naman si Jared eh, I didn't give him a chance. Ni hindi ko nga alam kung anung nangyari after the battle with Brent.

 

Kung hindi ko pa kakausapin si Yanna about that, I wouldn't know  na si Jared pala ang nagbantay sakin umaga't gabi just to make sure I'm still alive.

 

I don't know why Chief excluded that part but I know he has a reason why he did that. Sa ngayon, I'll just try to be happy and continue doing missions.

 

Besides, I still have one guy left beside me and now's getting impatient. Nakangiting nilingon ko siya na kasalukuyang nangangating kinamot ang leeg.

 

“Am I beautiful, dear?" Palambing kong sabi. I'm kinda nervous to ask this question dahil sa age ko, baka hindi na bagay sakin ang mga ganitong dress.

 

Lumipat ang mata sakin ni Jallen. He rolled his eyes at me, “Ma, are you kidding me? You're not beautiful—"

 

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko at suminghap. What?!

 

“-you're gorgeous." Mabilis na dugtong niya at ngumisi. Sinamaan ko lang siya nang tingin pero maya-maya ay ngumiti na din akong muli.

 

I'm glad I still have the charm.
