We fell silent after that. Emily was busy deep in thought and I could feel her hands making small movements as if she was washing dishes.

I sighed and closed my eyes, trying to block out the tiny elephants stomping on my skull. My mind wandered off and imagined my little puppies, gnawing my brain instead. That itself gave me an idea. I scanned my surroundings, delighted to find the Krey at least 20 feet away from us. If we whispered very quietly, they shouldn't be able to hear us.

I stared at the wall in front of us and started singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, very loudly and off-key.

"TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE STAR! HOW I WONDER WHAT YOU ARE!" I screeched, making sure the Krey nearby could hear me.

"SHUT UP!" A Krey shouted, clearly upset. "I DON'T WANT TO LISTEN TO YOUR DEMENTED SINGING!"

"Well, what else do you want me to do? Sit here and stay quiet?" I asked, pretending to be frustrated.

"Yes," She replied. "At least until the Master gets back with Jeremy and Eleanor. He will then decide your fate."

The threesome had left about an hour ago to check if there were any more people wandering in the caves. If they did, they would get turned. Emily and I were "guests" as they said and we would most likely receive another fate.

I sighed, trying to put up a big show of being bored. "Can I at least lip-sync the words or hum." I pleaded, bringing out my puppy eyes.

She made eye contact with me, and we both glared each other down until she said, "No humming. Only lip-syncing."

I cheered and began mouthing the words of Mary Had A Little Lamb. About halfway through the children's rhyme, I began to initiate my plan.

"Emily," I whispered, swaying my head back and forth as if I was really singing. None of the Krey started to give us funny looks. I took that as a good sign and continued talking. "I've got an idea."

I couldn't see her face from here as I continued to The Gingerbread Man. "Is it a good plan?" She mumbled, trying not to move her lips much since she couldn't sing like me.

"It's one of those plans that only work if we have amazing luck or because the Krey somehow returns to their original states."

She considered this before replying, "It's better than nothing."

I quickly filled her in with my strategic attack, making sure to mouth the words of Ring Around The Rosie and London Bridge when the Krey started giving us dirty looks.

After hashing over a few more details, and remembering the words of Row Row Row Your Boat and Humpty Dumpty, we put our plan into action.

All of a sudden, Emily started thrashing and writing, as if she was having a seizure. "Emily, are you alright?" I asked, trying to position my head for her to appear in my line of view.

No response came from her and the Krey around were getting suspicious. "Oi! What's with her?" One of the Krey shouted, coming closer.

"Stay back," I yelled. "She's having a headache. The presence of Krey only makes it works."

The Krey came to a halt, but Liam wasn't buying it. "I saw her with a headache," He said while casually leaning on a wall. "Her headaches weren't that intense."

I scoffed. "Please, that was nothing compared to the headaches she usually had. But... this one seems pretty severe. And-" I stopped to glower at the Krey who slowly continued creeping towards us after Liam's words.

"-it would be better if she could have some space!" I snapped. The Krey grumbled but returned to his position away from us. Emily was still shaking but soon stopped, as if the pain in her head had flown away. Her bun was coming apart, and her hairpin had fallen into my hands.
