I fidgeted with the yellow flower in my hand as the sun set down on the horizon. My legs were swinging off the edge of the roof, letting the wind tickle my nearly bare legs. After I stormed out of the library, leaving a whirlwind of hurt and guilt, I made my way onto the roof where I'd found a daffodil. I'd picked it, about to throw it into the sky for the wind to blow it away, but I didn't. Maybe I needed something bright to chase away the dark feelings in me.

Something stirred in my brain and I felt my mind get foggy for a bit. Almost as soon as it came, it disappeared. I frowned and searched my mind to see if anything was different. And it was. Dylan had returned my memories back.

With great effort, I didn't dive into them just yet. I needed to mentally prepare myself first. Did I really want to do this? Was I really sure I wanted to know the full truth?

Yes. A thought suddenly popped up. I really wanted to know. I was dying to see what had truly happened and if changing my memories was really the best for me, and everyone. But now wasn't the time.

I stared at the sunshine slowly disappearing on my arm. It didn't burn me like it would for a Krey. It was comforting instead. I suddenly had a different view on life. Even the sun slowly sinking down into the clouds, didn't seem the same as the one that rose this morning. I heard footsteps behind me. Someone sat down beside me and assumed the same position as me. The person's hair blew in my view and I caught a sight of fiery, orange hair. Jewel.

She said nothing but gazed into the beautiful scene in front. After a few moments, she spoke. "Sam told me what happened."

I didn't verbally kick her out because she made no attempt to start a conversation. "I don't want to talk about it," I said coldly.

She gestured at the flower dangling in my hands. "Daffodils represent forgiveness and new beginnings."

My fingers twitched. Talking to someone could help. I wasn't as close to Jewel as I was with Emily, Serena, and Ellia, but maybe that's what I needed. "Did you know?" I asked flatly.

I think it was the fact that I'd actually responded to her that made her fall silent. I could sense that she was trying to read me. "Not until recently. They haven't told anyone else besides me," She replied honestly, giving a little frown. "I think they were going to tell Seiro, but they changed their minds."

I gave a small snort. "At least they did something right for once."

"Well, twice if you think about it. Rodas, Dylan, and Natalie did save you before." If she was still trying to take in the news, she didn't show it. Her voice was gentle, but I heard the firmness in it as well.

I held in my scoff. "What about Sam?" I tried not to sound too curious.

She shook her head. "He was only nine when the attack happened. His older brother was the one who helped out."

I already had a small headache from before. Now the thumping increased. "Aren't six Wizards needed to turn a Krey back to normal?"

She nodded and I felt a twinge of annoyance. I was supposed to be mad at this, not get stuck in a conversation about it and learn more. "Yeah," she said, not noticing my twisted face. "I'm pretty sure one of them were Rodas' mother and another Wizard named Ty."

"Andra..." I whispered out loud, recalling her name. I didn't know Ty but assuming they never talked about the guy, he wasn't someone familiar with everyone else. Jewel was briefly surprised.

"You know her name?"

I hesitated before nodding. Rodas had once described his mother to me and how she passed away a few years ago. Based on her selfless personality, I wasn't shocked to know she'd helped out back then.
