I felt my body move unwillingly again. I turned around to close the door when a maid walked by my room.
Help me!
But the words never came out. I only nodded when she curtsied and I walked back into the room. My stomach filled with dread.
Hudson smiled wickedly. "Wasn't that introduction interesting, Emma?"
I felt the corners of my mouth lift against my control. "Of course, Hudson. Let's play around a little more."
I felt like throwing up. There was no way on Air would I ever want to say that. Hudson shot a look to Natalie who was still in deep concentration but she had a small smirk on her face. "Don't do that, I want her to act like herself."
Natalie frowned but didn't move. I felt words pour out of my mouth again. "Shut the hell up. Just let me out of this hell."
I felt like I had this bad taste in my mouth. I had never sworn before and I was proud of that. Swearing was something that I promised I would never do.
Hudson tsked. "She doesn't swear. I bet you broke the poor little girl's heart."
If I could, I would punch that fake smirk off of his face. Natalie tried again and made words blurt out of my mouth. I felt like I was a toy that you could manipulate. I tried to fight against it. I was using all my willpower and pushing against the magical force I felt in my brain. It was like shoving a brick wall. I felt small satisfaction when I saw Natalie creasing her forehead, but with another mental shove from her, my attack fell apart.
"You won't get away with this, Hudson," I said. I had to admit, I would've actually said that.
Hudson grinned showing his annoyingly perfect, straight white teeth. "There we go. Emma says the cliché line and blah, blah, blah. I would reply with the classic villain line in return, like-"
He walked closer to me and leaned in, our mouths only an inch apart. Our breaths mingled but it felt wrong. Instead of making my heart skip a beat, I felt dead and fear in me.
"I believed I already have."
A knock came from the bedroom door behind him. He moved back, looking very pleased. "Looks like our guest is here.
He nodded towards Natalie. "Get ready. Go hide in her bathroom."
I felt myself moving again. Strangely enough, I started helping Natalie up and supporting her to my bathroom. Natalie had said once that by controlling someone, she would see through their view not her own. By using her magic to manipulate another, she briefly lost control of her own. I closed the lid of my toilet and set her down on it.
I felt a pressure release from my head. I nearly gasped. I could move my arms and legs again. I hesitantly moved a foot forward. Thankfully, it listened to me.
I started plotting my escape when a voice interrupted my thoughts. I nearly forgot she was there. "Don't get too used to it, I'm only letting you go for 3 minutes."
I spun around and saw Natalie glaring at me. I knew why Hudson was behind this but not Natalie.
She answered my internal questions. "You were the only obstacle to my happiness."
I was puzzled. "Why?"
"All I ever wanted in life was a man who could make me feel special. No one else."
Her eyes filled with fury. "But you took the only man who could make me feel that way. All you wanted was to play with him. You selfishly took him away from me knowing that it would crush me."
"No, Natalie, that's not what-"
"SHUT UP EMMA!"
I held my tongue as I listened to her rant. "After breaking up with him the first time, I knew that I could never experience heartbreak again. It would kill me. I vowed that I will never feel that way again, no matter what. I did my best to get him back and I almost did if you haven't snatched him away from me. I could've gotten my happily ever after."
She stared at me and I felt her magic flow through my body again. "Now I will. Now come on, Hudson's waiting."
I walked back into the room dreading what was going to happen next. It looked like he heard everything.
"Are you ready for some more fun, Emma?"
I was actually looking forward to the kind of death which involved his death but I stayed quiet. He nodded and patted my head slightly too hard. "Good girl."
The person behind the door knocked again. This time, they voiced their concerns. "Emma, are you there? Hudson said you wanted to talk with me."
I think my heart nearly stopped. If it wasn't for Natalie's magic holding me in place, my mouth would've dropped to the ground. It was Rodas.
I didn't know what Hudson wanted with him but my temper soared now. I tried pushing against Natalie again. I was developing a major headache from this but I managed to get one word out.
"Ro-"
Natalie suddenly increased her attacks, putting more weight and power into her commands. My mouth snapped shut and I met Hudson's gaze who was curiously staring at my bathroom's door.
Rodas started banging the door again. "Emma? I can hear you. Why won't you let me in? I'll break down the door if you won't answer the door."
"Oh for God's sake," Hudson muttered, swinging the door open. Rodas looked surprised to see him answering the door but quickly hid it.
"Hudson," he said coolly. "What brings you here?"
He causally smiled. A few weeks ago, I would've found it extremely attractive but know I saw it as the fake it truly is.
"Oh, nothing much. Emma and I were going over some wedding details. I had a few suggestions and I wanted to run it by her before she starts planning. After all, you can't have an unhappy bride, right?"
I was confused for a moment and Rodas seemed like he was feeling the same thing. What was he doing? Was Hudson going to mind control him? Rodas took a look in my direction which Natalie made me respond with a simple nod. Rodas' face stayed blank as always but his hands curled up into fists.
"I see then," He replied. His voice sounded tense and strained. My heart fell. "Then I guess it would be better if I left you alone."
Hudson chuckled. "Oh don't worry, I was just leaving anyway. I should let my fiancée talk to her friends anyway."
I saw Rodas stiffen at the word friends. I still didn't understand why Hudson was doing this. Was he going to leave me alone with him like this? Hudson walked over to me and gave me a hug. Like early, he squeezed me tighter than a normal hug. He kissed my cheek and I bet I wasn't the only one in the room who heard the small growl from Rodas. The reason behind Hudson's plot came to me just a second before he told me.
"My world fell apart when you killed my father," he whispered, making sure Rodas couldn't hear us. "Now it's your turn."
He wasn't going to use Rodas like me. He wanted me to break his heart. Along with mine in the process.

I'm so sorry guys! I was on a trip last week so I couldn't update. I'm also sorry about posting later on Saturday. Actually, it's about midnight for me but it's still Sunday. I didn't have time to write a second chapter as well... To make up for it, I'll be releasing two chapters next week to make up for it.
