I tried moving back but it was useless. My leg complained and screamed whenever I moved it. I didn't look up at Seiro. His footsteps were noisy and harsh, completely different from his usual steps. With every step he took, it got louder and louder. The real Seiro would have lightly ran across or flew.

Flew...

An idea popped into my head and I mentally smacked myself for not thinking of this early. I floated up into the air and flew away without looking back. I almost forgot that I could fly. Being surrounded by Wizards had an impact on me and I temporarily forgot that running away wasn't my only option.

I took a glance below and nearly lost my concentration. All I saw at first was the blood. It ran all over the floor and even the walls. Guards were fighting the Krey, doing their best to get rid of the monsters in Air. Some of the Krey had picked up swords from the fallen guards and parried against the Airians.

One Krey had disarmed the guard and wrapped his hands around the flailing guard's neck. With a simple twist, the guard slumped in the Krey's arms. With an uninterested look on his face, he casually threw the guard into a marble column, no doubt breaking more of his bones.

A whizzing sound echoed faintly behind me. Trusting my instincts, I instantly ducked and watched as a dagger planted into the wall. I gaped at the weapon and looked behind me. Seiro was already holding another dagger and aimed it at me. Without thinking, I flew down, narrowly missing the second dagger. I exhaled in relief but panicked again when I crashed into someone. I didn't notice I was close to the ground. Flying even closer to the ground caused me to collide into a person but not just any person.

"Shit, Emma. What the hell are you doing?" Dylan cried from underneath me.

I didn't reply. I picked up a broken part of a wooden table beside us and held in front of me. Just a moment later, I felt the impact of something slamming into the piece of wood. I nearly fell off of Dylan who was still complaining below me. I threw it away, already knowing what was on it.

"What the-" He started, staring in confusion at Seiro who was steadily flying towards us.

"Don't ask, just run," I shouted, flying off of him. He didn't need to be told twice. He swiftly got up and started running. I followed him. We were going near the front of the room where Hudson was. I was about to suggest going a different way but if we took down Hudson, Seiro would be himself again.

I briefly explained the recent events to Dylan. Thankfully, he didn't ask any questions and took everything in with stride.

"So," Dylan panted. "We have a crazy bodyguard trying to kill you because of your psychotic, mind controlling ex-fiancé?"

"Yeah," I replied. Flying doesn't drain your energy as fast as running does. I quickly swerved to the side. I felt my right cheek sting. He must've nicked my face. "That basically sums it up."

"So what's the plan?"

"Since Hudson's controlling Seiro, I was thinking that we should take him out to stop Seiro."

Dylan immediately stopped. I paused beside him, wondering what's wrong. "Dylan," I said nervously, eying Seiro's approaching body. "Let's get going."

He ignored me and instead walked towards Seiro. I honestly considered the fact that Dylan drank too much champagne. Seiro pulled out another dagger from his never-ending supply of weapons and missed.

It landed a few feet away from Dylan who didn't even flinch. Seiro looked down confusingly at his hands and us. "What's going on, Master?"

My eyes widened. "What did you do?"
