The guards barged into every room, arousing everyone. Squinting and repeatedly blinking, they stumbled out of their rooms. They had bleary eyes as we trudged down the never-ending hallway. Seiro had especially noticeable dark bags under his eyes, exhausted from the day's events. I almost forgot about him.

"So, are you going to take him up on his offer?" I joked. He was briefly puzzled until he realized what I was hinting at.

"No, I despise green haired perverts like him."

I smiled. "You never know. He could change your view on certain things,"

In a rare moment of affection, he stuck out his tongue at me. The guards escorted us back into a lounge where General Anthony was waiting there with some more guards behind him. His eyes lit up when Ellia walked in, but she was too busy chatting with Serena to notice.

"Alright, I'm positive that the guards informed you why I have summoned you today." He shouted.

"When the Prince was about to take his daily bath-"

"It sounds like he's six, not sixteen," Serena whispered to me. I gave a small chuckle, earning a glare at Rodas. I tuned back into Anthony's words while Serena glowered back at her older brother.

"-found this strand of brown hair." He walked in front of us, making sure we get a good view of it. It is brown, a hair color our prince doesn't have."

"What about any guards? They could've entered his room if they were on duty." Dylan pointed out, looking like he would rather be sleeping instead. Anthony shook his head.

"Our Prince doesn't allow soldiers into his room," he said, dismissing the idea immediately. He gazed intently at the four people in the room who had brown hair. "Confess, or else pay the price."

Everyone in the room except for the guards and Anthony had a canny feeling that it was Ellia. This wasn't the first time she pulled off stunts like this, but she unknowingly played Anthony's feelings for her to her advantage.

"I refuse to be part in this child's play," she insisted in a British accent, taking a few steps back. "This was indubitably not caused by me, for I am a lady."

I mentally rolled my eyes while Serena stifled a laugh. It was obvious that she was faking it, but Anthony apparently fell for it. He instantly bowed. "Of course milady, I am deeply sorry for the fake accusations against you."

Ellia scoffed. "Adequate."

"You remaining three," boomed Anthony. Dylan, Rodas, and Serena stood beside each other, all having different shades of brown hair. "Which one of you three initiated this devious plan?"

"C'mon, do you actually think we did it?" Serena demanded.

"General, I can assure you that these three-" I shot a quick glance at Ellia. "-had nothing to do with the so-called plan that you think they committed. They are nothing more than ordinary, generous people."

"With all due respect, Your Highness, we have different laws here. We actually believe in proper punishments for the people who have caused harm to any citizen in Vernon."

I clenched my jaw and tried to keep a straight face.

"Do you have anything else to say?"

The threesome shook their heads. "How disappointing. Guards, bring them to the holding cells where the Prince will decide their fate."

Ten guards suddenly swarming around Dylan, Rodas, and Serena, forcing handcuffs on them. I left my bow in my room, but Emily's and Ellia's hands twitched. Anthony spotted the slight movement. "If any of you even land a single hand on your weapons, all 1000 soldiers will be onto you in a second."
