"This fortress is known for being impenetrable and heavily guarded. There are no tunnels, secret passageways, nor any other underground corridor we know of," said Sir Phillip, a man that looked no older than fifty, and wore the same posh suit as his fellow advisors.

We all sat around an oval wooden table, discussing the next plan of action. The nine of us stuck out the most with our t-shirts and shorts. I felt underdressed compared to everyone in their tuxes and gold medals that shone brightly on their chests. We had only started a few minutes ago and the conversation was already leaning towards a debate.

"Just go during the day," suggested Ellia. "There shouldn't be any guards on watch at the moment since they can't be in the sun. Have someone run up to the building, drop the bomb beside it, and run away before it detonates."

Sam shook his head. "Unfortunately, there's an enchantment placed on that building. It won't allow anyone in without permission from the inside. It also shields the fortress from any incoming attacks."

"You mean a Wizard had the ability to do that?" I asked.

"Yes, but he's dead now. His spell still remains but it can't be taken down." Sam replied.

"If a dead corpse can maintain his enchantment from the underworld, then why can't you keep an illusion around Vernon? It would save a lot of time and lives."

"That's because they were skilled Wizards," Rodas spoke up. He was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, listening to our conversation. His eyes met mine before focusing his gaze somewhere else.

"Experienced Wizards are able to cast a spell so powerful, that it would still remain after their death. I, myself can't even do that. Let alone a sixteen-year-old boy."

"Then what do you expect us to do, Road Ass?" asked Serena, emphasizing on her nickname for him. He ignored his half-sister and stayed quiet.

"Have Sam come with us," Emily proposed, ignoring the gasps and shouts of protest. "He could leave Vernon for a couple of hours and create a disguise for us. We could pretend to be Krey, sneak in and then out. Just say that we're Krey who wishes to be part to be part of the organization."

The advisors were already standing up, disapproving of the risky plan Emily thought of. Everyone who wasn't dressed in semi-formal clothing quickly defended Emily, making the civil discussion turn into a mini-war. Yet for some reason, I wasn't that surprised at the outcome. My eyes wandered off to Sam, who looked distraught. He was biting his lip as if he was debating whether to speak up. He caught me staring at him and I gestured a standing up motion.

He shook his head adamantly and pointed at me instead. I rolled my eyes but complied. I cleared my throat in a subtle way, earning not even a glance from the raging people. I stood up and slammed my hand onto the table. "BE QUIET!" I shouted, turning everyone's attention on me.

"Now that you have the decency to listen to me, Prince Sam would like to voice his opinion on Ms.Godsworth's suggestion."

The advisors immediately bowed their heads. "Of course, Prince Sam. We won't neglect you again in the future." They said in unison.

"Moving on, there is a chance I could join you on this mission,"

"But what about Vernon?" Another advisor answered. I think I heard Natalie say his name was Tivon or some other name.

"As Mr.Haider stated earlier, some Wizards have the ability to make their spells last so long, they still exist after death. Unfortunately, I don't have the skill and power to do that, but I can create a temporary spell around Vernon for approximately 12 hours."
