I could feel his body lock up with tension. He froze, shocked at the sudden kiss. I was about to pull away when he did the last thing I expected him to do. He kissed me back. His warm and hungry lips were suddenly moving against mine, and I started to realize how much of a good kisser he was.

It was nothing compared to kisses I had with Hudson. They were soft and sweet but lacked the spark and passion when Rodas was with me. As he kissed me back, his arms encircled my waist at the same time as I wrapped my arms around his neck. I lost track of time as we stayed entwined, just kissing and kissing until something unexpected happened. Or, I did something unexpected.

I felt something or someone takes control of me. I pulled back, effectively breaking it. I could see his confused face as I shoved him off of me and stood up.

"Get off of me," I said a bit angrily, making Rodas frown, then turning his face to a perfectly blank canvas. As soon as those words came out of my mouth, my brain seemed to start working properly again and it took control of my body. Why did I say that?

Rodas also stood up, crossing his arms and stared down at me. His eyes turned slightly gentle as he said, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that."

I was momentarily dumbfounded by his apology and my mind tried to grasp the right words to say. "Don't be, I was the one who started it." I instantly said, acting completely different than before.

Rodas turned, facing the reps in the corner of the room, struggling to figure out how to respond. I, on the other hand, took the chance to speak.

"I should be the one who should be sorry. I kissed you first. I almost broke a happy couple apart and I know how long Natalie has been waiting to get back together again," At that Rodas turned back around with a suspicious look on his face. I continued on, not caring on what he said at this point.

"She was so, so happy and joyful when you finally accepted her offer. You must be happy too, seeing how you agreed to it. I don't want to be the cause of unhappiness between you two."

I took a deep breath and looked Rodas in the eyes. His face was incredulous and slightly outraged. "You overheard our conversation?"

I was confused for a second until I started to replay my recent words. My face must have said it all because Rodas continued talking.

"How much did you hear?"

It was probably too late to deny anything. The least I could do was tell him the truth. "Everything."

Rodas sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, just like how old people would. "And you didn't bother to tell us?"

I put my hands on my hips. "Hey, it's not like I could casually go up to you and say, 'Oh, I heard that your girlfriend wants you in bed again.'"

Rodas snorted and walked over to the punching bag again with clenched fists. His arm suddenly snaked out to punch the bag, but it came to a halt just a few millimeters in front of it. The fight and tension seemed to seep out of his body. "How did you feel when I got back with Natalie?" He asked softly.

Now it was my turn to look away. I stared at the dummies nearby, scowling at the ones with long blonde hair. For some reason, I didn't have the urge to punch him in the stomach. If my parents or one of my friends asked that question, I would have casually changed the topic, but with Rodas, I found myself answering honestly.

"In a way, I felt a bit happy for you guys. If that's what you really want, then I'll support you all the way. Tonight, I almost ruined what could be a happy future and I'm sorry for that. If you really think that being with her is the right thing to do, then I'll be one of those people to cheer you on." I said, sounding like I was trying to convince myself more than Rodas.
