102:Teddy Imagine

"Ooh, there's your girl, Duchamp," Vern teased, nodding towards you over with your friends in line for the ferris wheel.

Teddy just rolled his eyes. "Stop doing that. She's not my girl.. yet." He added the last part quietly, but everyone knew he'd been pining for you for ages now.

Even you knew it, but you didn't think of him as "boyfriend material." Plus, you liked to watch him wiggle when you artfully dodged (the artful Dodger..?) his advances.

"Guys, I have to go real bad," you announced, making an urgent face.

"But we're so close to getting on. We can't go without you," one of your friends complained.

"I'll take two seconds, I promise," you assured them as you ran to find the nearest Port-o-Potty.

Despite Teddy's request for a change of subject, he pulled his friend into the line for the ferris wheel, only a couple people from where you and your friends were in line, before you had dashed off. He had watched you run, hoping he hadn't been the reason you had left.

As he turned back to watch the ferris wheel go around, he heard your friends talking amongst themselves.

"Y/n should have a boyfriend," one of them said. This immediately took his interest. "She seems so lonely all the time."

"She did mention wishing she had someone to take her on a date once in a while," the other one replied.

Teddy thought over this, running so many scenarios through his head over and over. He smiled to himself, knowing what he was going to do.

After you and your friends got off the ferris wheel, you all decided the trip to the fair wasn't a worthwhile one if you didn't get something deep fried, so you guys found the nearest vendor and each got something.

As you all ate your various greasy, battered sweets, you saw Teddy make his way towards you. You wanted to groan because he was kind of annoying with his constantly following you around, but you had to admit that his relentlessness was admirable.

"Hey, Y/n," he smiled as he stood in front of you. Vern had gone to the vendor. "How're you?"

You swallowed the bite of deep fried food in your mouth before answering. "Good, I guess... Teddy, did you just come to make small talk or did you have something to say?" Your friends giggled before you shot them a look, causing them to turn around, pretending to not pay attention.

This took him aback for a second. "Well, geez. I guess I'll cut to the chase then. Do you wanna ride the Tilt-A-Whirl with me?"

You narrowed your eyes at him in skepticism. "That's what you wanted to ask me?"

"Hey, it took me a while to get that to sound right in my head, alright? You won't ever give me a chance to take you out properly, so this is the closest I'll get." He looked so sincere, you almost caved in right then and there. "Look, I am the kind of guy you want. No matter how much you try to deny it, I am the boyfriend you're looking for."

You smiled a little, trying hard not to blush. "You're very cheesy, Teddy. I don't know if I like you when you're cheesy."

He laughed and looked at his shoes, his hands in his pockets. "So..."

You sighed, your smile only growing at how cute he looked waiting for your answer. "Okay. I'll go out with you."

He actually looked stunned. "You- Really?! I really didn't know if you were going to say yes or not. Thank you! You won't regret it." He had a smile on his face that made you feel just really happy inside. It was hard to explain. "So.. you still wanna go on the Tilt-A-Whirl or..."

You shrugged. "Why not. It can be our pre-first date."

"I like that."

"I do too."

Arm in arm, you two left your friends behind and ran off.

Finally finished this one. I started strong and then like had a major indecision on where to take it. But yeah, it's done. Woot. I have like 3 requests to work on and I haven't really started... oops. I will. I promise but yeah. M'kay.
