Sky's POV
The flashing of my phone caused me to wake from my slumber...
4 missed calls and 12 new texts from my mom.
"Oops!" I mumbled under my breath.
My surrounding was unfamiliar at first, until I remebered last night... I was still at Harry's "safe place" but I had no memory as to why.
"Morning sleeping beauty!" Harry joked.
"Harry? Why am I still here?"
"Well let's just say we had a few drinks last night and neither of us were suitable to drive."
"Oh... Well I have to go, my mom's worried apparently and-"
"You told me things last night..."
"Like what?"
I felt like rolling under the couch and dying. My heart was in my mouth. My feet went cold.
NO NO NO! PLEASE TELL ME I DIDN'T REVEAL ANYTHING ABOUT MY PAST!
I'd never told anyone! Not even my mom knew and I wanted it to stay that way. No one could know about my past, because the past is the past and that's where it STAYS! Especially mine!
"It was about what people called you...." He finally blurted out.
"Well I was drunk and that stuff stays BETWEEN US Styles! I mean it!"
"Who would I tell?" He pathetically smiled.
Harry's POV
Obviously Sky was hiding something from me, but until we become closer, I know she won't tell me.
We will become closer. I know it.
Little does she know I have secrets too, ones that I've swore never to tell, but I have a feeling some may slip with her. And she'll slip some to me too. That's the way it'll go. I know it.
She's different, I'm different... and that's what makes us perfect.
She just needs to realize it.
My past is dark, and should be locked away and set aflame so NO ONE can ever find it.
I looked over at the beautiful girl sitting only inches away from me. Her hair laid over her shoulders in messy waves and her sweater lying on the ground. "You'll tell your friends!" She accused.
"What friends?" I laughed at her dumb statement.
"You don't have friends?" She seemed taken back and possibly surprised.
"I've tried, but they've always turned out wrong. I gave up... Until now... You're not like any other girls Sky, I can tell. You've got secrets like me"
"That's not for you to say Harry. I have to go"
She slipped on her boots and sweater and walked out the door, releasing herself to the outside world.
I could only get a few words in,
"You're afraid..."
Sky stopped cold in her tracks, and turned "Afraid of WHAT HARRY?!"
Oops. I thought quickly. I think I know what I was saying.
"Trust."
Sky's POV
I quietly snuck in the back door, trying to avoid an encounter with my furious mother.
" SKY JONES! YOU GET YOUR BUTT IN HERE NOW!"
I'd been caught, and the only thing to do was hang my head in shame and work up a pair of fake tears when I was scolded.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU COME HOME LAST NIGHT!" She scolded.
"I'm sorry... I got sick so I stayed with a friend..." I added some tears to make my case seem more believeable.
"That's no excuse not to call! I was w-"
"You're right mom, I'm sorry..." I shit her down before she could take off with that conversation.
I got off easy, only having to do the dishes and mop the floor.
It was easy to get things past my mom, but only because she was completely oblivious to my real life.
You know? The real life I keep a secret from her?
My phone went off upstairs and I ran up to get it. When I saw a figure sitting on my bed holding my phone I screamed, nearly having a heart attack.
Te boy shot off the bed and slapped his hand over my mouth.
"Sky it's ok it's me! Harry!"
I ripped his large hand off my face and looked intently at him.
"DON'T YOU EVER SNEAK IN HERE AGAIN! I HAVE A FREAKING FRONT DOOR!"
"Those are no fun!" He joked.
"Well at least tell me you're coming over next time!"
I mean c'mon. We just left each other's sight and here he is again?
Knowing Harry, he made a joke out of everything. He placed his hand on his forhead and saluted me as he sarcastically yelled, "Sir yes sir!"
I couldn't help but laugh at his stupid joke. "Have you eaten?"
"Nope" He quickly replied.
"Well we can't have that now can we Mr. Styles! C'mon!" I smiled.
I led him down the stairs and into the kitchen.
Me being the horrible cook I was, I pulled out two cans of raviolli's and poured them into bowls. I filled the kettle with water for tea and placed it on the stove.
I'm impatient too. So I kinda burned the ravioli's a little. Oh well he won't notice.
"Lunch is served!"
Harry busted out laughing as I placed the "beautifully" prepared raviolli's and tea on the counter. "C'mon Sky!"
"What?"
"You OUTDID YOURSELF!"
I laughed even though it was at myself. "You wanna watch TV or a movie?"
"No!" He shot that down fast.
"Why?"
"Because! I hate them! They make you think life is perfect and everything will be ok! All they do is lie or tell about how life is amazing and everyone is so friendly! I hate it."
He had a point! A very good point actually! Life would never be perfect, even for the richest girl! I'm sure she's broken a nail or even worse (in her eyes) a broken shoe!
I felt smuthered in my sweater and took it off...forgetting about the scars that lined my wrist.
"Why do you do it Sky?" Harry asked once again.
"Do what?"
He grabbed my wrist gently, as though afraid to hurt me any more, and gestured to my scars. I turned away in shame and stared at the ground.
He tilted my chin, making sure I was looking straight into his eyes. "Why?" He repeated.
"I don't know... Maybe because I'd rather feel physical pain versus emotional..."
"Why do you have to be in pain at all?"
"Because Harry! Someone has to endure the pain this world has to offer... Might as well be me... Useless, boring me!"
"I guess I was one of those someone's too..."
Harry rolled up his sleeve revealing the scars on his wrist, only they were...
deeper than mine.
"Why are they so deep?" I asked concerned. Looking into his eyes obviously full of pain I hadn't felt before.
He looked intently at me. Our eyes locked.
"I was chosen to endure a deeper pain..."
