"I suppose you want to know why I did it, right? I bet you want to know why I put that knife into your neck and killed you. Well, allow me to explain myself before you hate me for eternity.

I was an idiot. I thought I was in love with a boy. You're very close to him, well, you was very close to him. Taro Yamada. Ring a bell to you? That was your childhood friend before you died. You wanted more than that, though. Didn't you? Too bad it could never be.

I liked Taro Yamada at the same time as you. I wanted him more than you would ever know. I would willingly kill for his affection, and that's exactly what I did.

I killed you so you couldn't steal his attention. I eliminated you so you couldn't steal him from me. I wanted him to myself, and couldn't accept him liking another girl. You were just an obstacle to me at the time, but I was so wrong.

Ayano's lifeless body was found hanging from the ceiling. She had left her confession as a recording on her phone for whoever found her body to find and listen to. Ayano was an emotionally unstable girl, and had felt broken and empty in the weeks leading up to her suicide. She had done it. She had killed Osana. She had done it believing she was in the way, not knowing how she truly felt. The case had run cold after Ayano had destroyed the evidence that linked her to the crime. She made her confession so Osana would at least have some kind of justice. She wished she had never done it. The guilt had consumed every part of her being, and she couldn't live much longer with it. The guilt of killing the girl she loved had driven her insane, eventually leading to her demise.

Ayano had killed herself on the outside after killing herself on the inside.
