242: To The Finish Line

Kyoshi Taiso x Asu Rito:

"Come on!" Kyoshi yelled behind her as she kept running. Following closely behind her was Asu. She nodded her head, running a little faster. She always ran with Kyoshi to school, but she was always a few steps ahead.
"Slow down!" Asu cried as they neared the gate, panting. Kyoshi laughed as she slowed her pace a little. Asu caught up to her, sprinting past and touching the school gate. Kyoshi rolled her eyes as she too reached the gate.
"No fair. You cheated, Asu!" Kyoshi pouted. She wasn't a very good loser. She frowned, looking down. Her bottom lip trembled like she was about to cry. Small tears began to fill her blue eyes as she looked back up at Asu. She wasn't this sad, but she always like to guilt trip Asu when she didn't win.
"Come on, please don't cry." Asu said softly, wrapping her arms around her. Kyoshi whimpered and hugged back. Asu lightly stroked her blonde hair, feeling kinda bad. Kyoshi's guilt trips worked every time.

Kyoshi felt the wind on her face as she ran to the finish line, baton in hand. She and Asu were training for the 4x100m relay at school, as they were the last two racers on their team they could practice together. Kyoshi was the last runner, meaning it was her responsibility to cross the line first. She crossed the line as Asu stopped the timer.
"That was the fastest time yet babe." Asu said as she jogged over to Kyoshi. Both blondes were smiling. "If we continue improving, we'll have no competition regardless of how the other two runners do." She smiled, hugging her girlfriend. They both had to run with two other girls on their team, but it wasn't like they were the most important members on the team of Asu and Kyoshi.

"Come on Asu!" It was the day of the race, and Asu was the one currently with the baton. Their team was only just ahead of the competition. The girl next to Asu smirked and tripped her over before continuing to run. Kyoshi gasped, running over to Asu. Her ankle was out of place, and Kyoshi was more worried about her than about the race.
"Kyoshi. Take the baton and run." Asu told her, holding in a sob. Kyoshi smirked, picking up Asu. "What are you doing?" She asked as a tear ran down her cheeks. Kyoshi didn't speak as she ran towards the finish line. Most of the people who'd come out to watch the event was there, so Asu would hopefully be seen by someone who could help her. Kyoshi picked up the pace as she saw the girl who had tripped over Asu pass the baton on to her final teammate. She was beginning to get a little tired, but she definitely wasn't going to slow down. The other girl was shocked as Kyoshi crossed the line with Asu in her arms first. They had won together. Kyoshi kissed Asu before they went over to the nurse.
