Oka Ruto x May (Prowatermelon13 ):
Oka smiled softly as she rested her head against her girlfriend May's shoulder. They were sat on her sofa watching movies late one night. May smiled, putting her arm around the smaller girl. She felt hot, but she put that down to Oka not feeling well over the past few days. She was concerned that she could feel Oka shivering against her slightly. She pulled her on to her lap, hugging her and keeping her warm.
"G-give me a minute." Oka stuttered quietly, putting her hand to her mouth and standing up. She looked a lot paler than she did before. May was concerned as she watched Oka sprint out of the room, looking like she was about to throw up. She got up and followed her, finding her being sick in the bathroom. It was almost like she couldn't stop for 5 minutes. May held her hair back so she wasn't getting sick in it, comforting her softly. She looked into the bowl once she pulled away, seeing specks of red blood throughout. She looked back at Oka, concerned. The smaller girl looked very weak, her eyes closed. May was immediately worried when she couldn't get Oka's attention, deciding to phone an ambulance. She seriously looked ill, and like she needed medical attention as soon as possible.May wasn't allowed access to Oka's hospital room, as it was family only. She knew the smaller girl had been kept in so she could be monitored. May didn't know what was wrong with Oka, and that worried her. She looked at her phone, knowing Oka would probably have hers in the hospital with her. It was worth a try.
May: hey Oka. How you feeling?
At first, she didn't receive a reply. She didn't know if she expected to or not. She sighed, resting her phone on the sofa beside her. After a few minutes, she got a reply.
Oka: not great honestly.
May felt saddened when she read the reply. She wanted to be with her so she could comfort her and make her feel better. She sighed as she sent another reply.
May: do you know what's wrong?
Oka: I don't remember specifics, but the doctors did say life threatening...
May: oh, no. Oka...
Oka: Its ok... I'll be fine...
May: I hope so. I don't want to lose you...Over the next few weeks while Oka was in hospital, they messaged constantly. There were days when she felt a little better, and days where Oka's replies were slow because she was throwing up. May still hadn't seen her, and was worried sick. At least the last thing she'd physically said to her was that she loved her if she never got to see her again. She sighed a little as she message her girlfriend.
May: hey Oka. How you feeling?
Oka: awful.
May: you poor thing. Keep being strong, ok?
Oka: ok.
She put her phone down for a little while to do some homework. She silently prayed Oka would feel better. She tried to focus, but couldn't. She was too worried about Oka to be able to focus. She glanced back at her phone as she received a text message.
Oka: I love you so much
May: aww. I love you too Oka.
May: are you feeling any better?
May: Oka?
May: you're scaring me. Please answer me.
She still didn't receive a reply. She was really worried something bad had happened to her girlfriend. Then, she received one last text from Oka's phone. She wished she'd never had to receive that message.
Oka: this is Oka's father. She passed away 15 minutes ago. I'm sorry...
