MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Ayano Aishi x Info-chan:

Ayano was emotionless as she opened the locker on the last day of school before the Christmas break. As she opened it to change her shoes, a single envelope fell out of it. It looked like a Christmas card. She didn't expect to get any, since she had no friends and didn't make any effort to socialise with anyone. She picked it up and read the beautifully handwritten message in the card.
Ayano Aishi.
I wish this could be a simple Christmas card with a simple Christmas message, but I have a confession to make. I'd been watching you for a while, and have been interested in everything you've been doing. It's fair to say you've captured my heart. I love you, and I know you don't feel the same for me, because you cannot feel emotions. Please can we discuss this further at the info club room at 5:30pm today?
Sincerely, Info-chan.
Ayano had heard of Info-chan before, but never expected her to have any feelings towards her. Hell, she didn't know this girl. Al she knew was that she was a bit of a weirdo who sold panty shots to perverted boys and blackmails other people. That wasn't a very good reputation. Ayano was still curious though. She wanted to meet this girl, tell her in person she wasn't interested. That was the best thing she could do.

At 5:30, Ayano was stood outside the info club room as planned. She was still, looking around. The camera watching her every movement while she was outside the door was making her feel somewhat uneasy. She didn't like it. Suddenly, the door opened, and she was face to face with Info-chan. As their eyes met it was like the world brightened up. She felt something, concern. The girl stood in front of her looked sick and pasty.
"Ayano... you came..." she said hopefully, looking up at her. Ayano nodded her head. She was planning to turn her down without a second thought, but she couldn't. Her mother had always told her she would one day meet someone who made her feel complete, and now she did. It was clear she had found the one who completed her. She couldn't turn her down now.
"Yeah, of course I did." Ayano said, a smile forming on her face. This one didn't feel like the many she had faked, though. This was a genuine smile. Info-chan smiled too, closing the info club door and leaning back on it. "I'm going to be really serious. I was originally going to come and reject you to your face, but I don't wanna do that now. I've changed my mind. I accept your love confession, and I want to know if you'll be my girlfriend." Ayano said to her, gently taking her small hand into her own. A bright red blush crossed Info-chan's entire face, trying to put her bright red hair to shame.
"You-you mean it?" She asked anxiously, looking anxiously into her eyes. She nodded her head, smiling and closing the gap between them with a gentle kiss. Info-chan kissed back, her eyes closing. Everything was going to be okay, she believed.

That night, they chose to walk home together. It was already dark out when they left the school, but neither of them minded. Info-chan always left when the school and the outside was in darkness anyway as a way to keep her true identity hidden. Ayano insisted on walking Info-chan home first, as she was curious about where she lived and wanted to make sure the sickly girl got home safe. One thing she did notice was the lack of coat on her pale body.
"Do you not have a coat?" Ayano asked, holding on to her delicate hand. She shook her head, staying near her. Ayano sighed, thinking of something. "Take my coat." She suggested, letting go of her hand and going to take off her coat.
"It's okay, don't worry. I don't want you to get sick." She spoke softly, coughing. Ayano sighed, holding on to her hand again. It was fairly cold, and Ayano worried about her. She sighed and kept walking towards the redhead's home.

They had spent a lot of time together on the countdown to Christmas. Ayano noticed Info-chan was getting sicker at an alarming rate, and she could not do anything to help. It was now Christmas Eve, almost Christmas Day, and Ayano was sprinting over to Info-chan's house to be with her. She knocked on the door loudly, trying to get her attention. After a good few minutes she heard a thud behind the door.
"Mari!" She screamed, pounding on the door more and more. She would break it down and get to her if she had to.
"Ay... Ayano..." she heard Info-chan's weak voice through the door. A wave of relief rushed over Ayano as she heard her voice.
"Babe! You okay? Can you open the door?" Ayano asked worriedly, knocking on the door more. Info-chan sighed, knowing she couldn't.
"Ayano... I... I don't have much time..." Info-chan told her worriedly, coughing. She knew she wasn't going to survive the night, and she had things to say to Ayano. The dark haired girl went silent, sitting down with her ear against the door so she could hear Info-chan as best as possible. "Listen to me... please... survive... stay strong... don't give up... your future is so bright... I'll be there... beside you... in spirit... Ayano... please... promise me something... survive..." Info-chan begged as best she could, choking back her tears. She didn't want to die, but she wasn't strong enough to survive.
"Mari..." Ayano said softly, tears filling her grey eyes. She couldn't cry now, though. She had to be strong, just like what Info-chan wanted.
"I love you..." She said quietly, her voice hoarse. Ayano was silent until she heard nothing from the other side of the door. She had been able to hear Info-chan breathing, well, trying to breathe. Now all she heard was silence, and she knew it was too late.
"Mari..." Ayano said quietly to herself, tears filling her eyes as the clock struck midnight. She was gone before Christmas Day could come. She sobbed quietly, curling up in a ball. As soon as she was over the worst of the sobbing, she stood up and looked up at the night sky. The North Star was brighter than usual, so Ayano instantly noticed it. She watched it twinkle, silently making a pact to herself. Through the storms, and in times of trouble, she would just look up at the night sky and search for the North Star to remind her Info-chan was with her in spirit. That was all the reassurance she'd need to survive.
