261: One Last Sweet Smile

Hanako Yamada x Osoro Shidesu

"Osoro-san!" Hanako beamed as she ran over to the delinquent leaver, feeling no fear. Most students kept their distance, but Hanako wasn't one of them. Osoro looked up at her, smiling softly. She had a soft spot for Hanako, and a soft side around her that only the delinquents had seen before.
"Good morning Hanako. What brings you here?" Osoro asked, looking down at the smaller girl. Hanako searched her bag, eventually finding what she was looking for.
"I made this for you and your friends!" Hanako told her, handing her a box. Osoro took it, opening it. Inside the box was sugar cookies, decorated with white and pink royal icing in a floral design. Osoro would've usually hated something so cute, but from Hanako she didn't mind at all.
"Thanks sweetie." Osoro laughed, taking the box. She took a cookie and ate it in one bite, smiling softly. Her smiles were rare, and seemed to only appear when Hanako did.
"You're welcome. Bye! Have fun!" Hanako giggled and ran off, heading to class. Osoro watched her, having no intention of going to class herself. She rarely did.

Waiting by the door for Hanako was a dark haired girl. Her older brother Taro's stalker, Ayano Aishi. She was threatened by how close Hanako and Taro were, thought it would interfere with her happiness with Taro. That's why she had to make Hanako disappear.
"Can I ask you something please?" Ayano stepped into Hanako's path to prevent her getting past. She wasn't letting her get past. Before hearing Hanako's answer, she pulled the younger girl into the room next to them, which was a storage room. Hanako was confused and a little on edge, feeling the danger like a knife pressed against her neck. However it wasn't a knife pressed against her neck, it was a needle which was injecting a sleeping serum into her. Within moments it had taken effect. Ayano caught her and placed her in the case along with the needle, walking off to go to class like she usually would.

Hanako's vision was foggy when she finally came around after being injected with a tranquilliser. Ayano was standing over her, smirking. Hanako was tied to a chair with coarse rope which prevented her from moving. Hanako tried to shout for help, realising all too quickly that she had a gag tied around her mouth.
"You're in my way, Hanako. I want your brother Taro all to myself, but I know you won't surrender him. That's why I have to kill you now." Ayano smirked, glaring down her nose at Hanako. She held up a knife, a sadistic glimmer in her grey eyes. Hanako shook in fear, causing the ropes to burn her skin.

The days began to pass, and Osoro noticed Hanako's absence. She missed her a lot, even though she knew Hanako didn't belong in her world. Hanako was too pure and innocent. Still, that didn't change how Osoro's heart felt. She knew she was in love with Hanako, and wanted to protect her. It was now late at night, and Osoro was wandering around by herself. She liked to wander the streets at night. She could protect herself from any creeps and drunks out past dark. She walked, stopping suddenly. Something was telling her to go into the alley beside her. She did, physically screaming when she saw what was in the dead end. What she'd found was Hanako's discarded corpse. She'd clearly been tortured, by the numerous cuts, burns and bruises. One of her eyes had been gouged out and was completely missing. Osoro was overcome with rage, heartbreak and despair. She was determined to find out who had done this and why, so she could make their death somehow even more painful than Hanako's. She had to, for the sake of her lost lover. All she wanted was to see her smile one last time, to taste one more of her sweet cookies, just to see her again. Now all she had to motivate her was her desire to avenge Hanako.
