222: Pay Me Attention

A continuation of 'The Opposite'. Requested by GoldenOwl1243

Budo Masuta x Osana Najimi:

"Baka, Budo." Osana muttered as she watched Budo training. He was missing his kicks on the training dummy. He stopped, turning to look at Osana with his hands on his hips.
"Is that your pet name for me Osana?" He asked a little playfully. She folded her arms and pouted at him, refusing to look him in the eyes.
"N-no!" She snapped, ignoring the blush on her cheeks. He laughed and continued training. Osana made a sigh as she sat down against the wall. She wished he would pay her more attention, but he was so focused on what he was doing it was like she didn't exist. She hated it.

As the months went by, he began to spend less and less time with her. She just wanted to spend time with her boyfriend, and it was almost like they didn't know each other. She also had to watch her best friend Taro's relationship blossom with his girlfriend Oka.  Osana was beginning to grow jealous. Eventually, she snapped.

She was in school when she saw Taro and Oka together again. Something in her snapped. She ran over to them, grabbing their hands and dragging them off somewhere.
"What are you doing, Osana?" Taro asked, but she didn't answer. He couldn't see the angry look on her face as she continued dragging them along with her.
"O-Osana?" Oka stuttered as she was dragged along with Osana. The ginger tightened her grip on the pair as she dragged them to an empty classroom.

She shoved both of them to the floor, slamming the door shut behind her. Taro and Oka looked up at her, confused and a little fearful. The ginger was twitching slightly, and looked like she had snapped. She launched herself at Taro first, wrapping her hands around his neck and attempting to strangle her best friend.
"S-stop!" Oka cried out fearfully as she tried to pull Osana off of Taro. She stopped strangling Taro, who was paler and weaker than he usually was, turning her attention to Oka. She pushed Oka to the floor beside Taro, straddling her.
"It's! Not! Fair!" She repeatedly shouted as she punched Oka in the face and chest. The smaller girl was in tears as she held her arms up trying to defend herself. Taro was unable to move, weakened by Osana trying to strangle him, otherwise he would've immediately pushed Osana off of Oka. He felt weak and a little pathetic as he watched his girlfriend be beaten by his best friend.
"Stop it, Osana!" The door opened, and Budo walked into the room. She did stop, looking up at her boyfriend. He ran over to her, picking her up and lifting her off of Oka. Taro had regained some of his strength by this point. He sat up, picking up Oka and comforting her. He still felt so bad that he couldn't protect her. She continued sobbing in his arms as he comforted her and Budo carried Osana out of the room.

Budo set down Osana in the martial arts club. He looked mad. Osana had calmed down by this point, she was no longer twitching and she looked less angry.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" He exploded. They were alone, so nobody would hear them. "Why would you do that to Oka?" Budo hadn't seen her attempting to strangle Taro, but he would be so much angrier if he did.
"I... you were ignoring me, and it was the only way you would actually acknowledge me Baka!" She shouted. Budo was taken back by Osana's comment. He hadn't expected that, even after how they had gotten together.
"Oh..." he sighed, hugging her. She hugged back in surprise. "Please just tell me if you ever want attention." He murmured to her. She nodded her head, tears beginning to stream out of her eyes. He continued hugging her, resting his head on hers. "Please don't bully anyone else again or I will break up with you."  She nodded her head, beginning to feel guilty. She had snapped and hurt her best friend. He would probably never forgive her for what she had done. She sighed and hugged him tighter.
"I won't. Please don't ignore me again." She begged a little sadly. Budo sighed, kissing her nose. He felt bad for making Osana feel ignored, and promised himself to never do it again.
"I promise."
