Taro Yamada x Kokona Haruka:

Kokona waited on top of the hill by the cherry blossom tree for Taro. She had slipped a note into his locker asking him to meet her here. Anonymously of course. They thought of each other as friends, and she didn't know if he would come if he knew it was from her. She paced a little nervously, hoping he would show up. He was late by 5 minutes now. She stopped when she saw him running to the tree with her note in his hand. Her heart began to beat faster.
"Hey Kokona. What did you want to say to me?" He asked once he was stood with her. She didn't have the words to say, but she had written them down incase she got too nervous. She searched her bag for the envelope before passing it to him. Her hands were slightly shaky as he took the note from her and read the heartfelt confession. "I accept your confession, Kokona." He told her as he put the envelope with the confession into his pocket. She smiled happily, hugging him.
"I love you Taro. Thank you for accepting my confession." She told him. He hugged her back, kissing her forehead softly. He did have genuine feelings for the purple haired girl, and was glad she had confessed her feelings to him.

Taro and Kokona sat silently by the fountain on Monday. He had his arm around her, holding her close. Something had felt off that weekend, he couldn't describe it. Kokona could tell.
"Are you alright, Taro?" She asked hesitantly, looking up at him. He shrugged her shoulders, not knowing what to really say to her. She hugged him tightly, hoping to comfort him a little.
"Something feels off..." she looked up at him with confusion. She made a small 'huh' sound, urging him to continue. "This might sound crazy, but let me explain. It feels like you shouldn't be here, with me. It feels like you should be dead, and I should be mourning for you and realising I truly did love you. I probably sound insane, right?" He said to her, not making eye contact. She was very confused. She kissed his cheek, leaning on his shoulder.
"A little. Don't worry Taro, I'll always be here. I won't let anything bad happen." She promised him, hugging him. He sighed a little, hugging her back before gently kissing her. She kissed him back.

Of course, that was an alternate reality. In the real world, she was gone. He would never see her again. Her ashes were lying in the bottom of the incinerator. Ayano had murdered her before she could confess to Taro, and had disposed of her body in the incinerator. He would never be able to have the girl he loved in his arms again.
