Budo Masuta & Mina Rai & Sho Kunin & Shina Shita & Juku Ren:

Budo sat in the martial arts club room with his back against the wall, lost in thought while the rest of the club practiced their side kicks. He didn't notice what the others were doing.
"Budo are you ok?" Mina asked as she stopped training, prompting the others to stop as well. He sighed and nodded his head.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Shima asked, sitting down beside Budo. The others also sat down, concerned for their friend and club leader. He nodded his head with a small sigh. He thought they would've at least had an idea, but it appeared not. Maybe they just needed reminding.
"It all started last year..."

Flashback:

Budo peeked into the room with a slight look of awe on his face. He could see Nori Fujimoto, leader of the martial arts club, training with the rest of her club members. He'd had a crush on her for as long as he could remember. Today was the day, though. He was going to speak to her and join the club to get closer to her. He walked into the club room, attracting Nori's attention.
"Hey. What brings you here?" She asked confidently with the bright smile that made Budo's heart flutter. He suddenly felt nervous. He took a deep breath before he spoke, trying to sound as confident as he did.
"Hi... I would like to join the martial arts club please." He said with a little bit of awkwardness in his voice. She laughed a little and handed him the headband he would come to cherish.
"Of course. Welcome to the club." Nori smiled as Budo tied the headband around her forehead. "You're welcome to train with us now if you want." He grinned and nodded his head, almost unable to speak with excitement that he got to spend time with his crush. The rest of the club members welcomed him into the group with open arms.

He knew exactly where it went wrong. He stood over Nori with a proud smile on his face, having finally beaten her in a small competition between them. He expected her to be proud of him, maybe a little impressed, but that wasn't the case. A look of hurt, upset and defeat was plastered on her face, something he didn't notice. She stood up and pulled off her headband, tears forming in her eyes. Silence filled the room as she discarded the headband and walked out of the room, never to return. She quit martial arts that day. He immediately felt guilty. His chance to be with Nori had been turned to ashes that day.

End of Flashback:

Budo stood by the cherry blossom tree waiting for Nori to show up. His club members had suggested that he apologise to her, maybe make things right with her. Part of him feared she wouldn't show up. Eventually, a group of people came to the tree. They were his friends in the martial arts club. It looked like Nori wasn't coming. He sighed and went over to his friends in defeat.
"It's ok, Budo. She doesn't deserve you." Sho tried to comfort him, putting his arm around his best friend. He sighed and nodded his head as the club members walked away. At least he had them.
