196: Deadly Love

Taro Yamada x Kokona Haruka:

"Oh! There he is! Oh, Senpai...when will you notice how I feel about you?" Kokona sighed as she watched her Senpai Taro sat by the fountain from behind one of the cherry blossom trees in the courtyard. "Okay, I've made up my mind... I'll tell him how I feel this Friday! I hope he accepts my feelings..." she sighed a little as she sat back on a bench and ate her bento in silence, occasionally stealing a glance at him. She began to plan her confession in her mind, hoping she could find the words that would make him hers.

Kokona was oblivious to the girl watching her from the distance. Her name was Ayano Aishi, and she was obsessed with Taro. She was willing to kill anyone who tried to take Taro away from her. Her new target was Kokona Haruka. In Ayano's hand was a small bottle of poison she'd considered putting in Kokona's bento. She had decided against it, fearing she would be caught. Senpai would hate her if she was caught. She sighed, putting the poison back into her bag and walking out of the courtyard. She would have to eliminate her another way.

That evening, Kokona had planned to walk home from school with Taro. She waited outside the classroom for him so they could walk home. She thought she could see someone, Ayano, staring at her. She brushed it off as Taro came out of the room.
"You ready to go?" He asked. Kokona smiled and nodded her head. They headed out of the school together, closely followed by Ayano.
"I have a question for you." She told him as they went out of the school gate. He looked over, nodding his head. "If anyone confessed their feelings to you, would you accept?" He was a little confused by her question, but nodded his head anyway.
"I suppose I would." Kokona smiled a little, blushing a little. Taro would accept a love confession from her. "Why do you ask anyway?" He raised an eyebrow at her. She blushed slightly, not really knowing how to answer that.
"Oh... n-no reason." She stuttered a little, making Taro laugh. His laughter made her giggle too. He already had an idea why, but he didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable by saying it. He instead gently took hold of her hand, making the blush on her cheeks deepen slightly.

That Friday, Kokona waited for Taro under the cherry blossom tree. She had already left a note to him asking him to meet her. She didn't know Ayano was already waiting for her. Once Kokona had reached the tree, Ayano decided to attack immediately so she would have the most amount of time possible to dispose of the evidence. She came out from behind the tree, wrapping her arm around Kokona's neck and pressing the tip of her knife to it. Her hand was covering Kokona's mouth so she couldn't scream for help.
"This is for Taro." Ayano hissed into her ear before burying the knife into Kokona's neck. She was slightly disgusted when she felt Kokona's warm blood on her hand from her mouth, but at least that meant she was dead. She picked up Kokona's corpse and carried it away from the tree to be disposed of.

Not long after Ayano had left the tree with Kokona's corpse, Taro ran out to it. He couldn't see anyone beneath it from the distance, and was a little surprised. He assumed that Kokona was waiting behind the tree, deliberately hiding from his view. He reached the tree, and began to search the area. Kokona was nowhere in sight. He felt very disappointed when Kokona didn't arrive. He didn't know she had been murdered. His shoulders slumped as he left at 6pm. He was curious about what Kokona wanted to tell him, but now he would never know.
