190: A Future With You

Kokona Haruka x Riku Soma:

"You know Kokona better than anyone else. Please help me pick out an engagement ring." Riku begged the girl he was with. The teal haired girl nodded her head, laughing a little.
"Of course I will." She laughed a little as she and Riku went into the jewellers. Saki laughed a little as they started looking at rings. He was a little intimidated, but Saki knew which rings Kokona would choose if it was up to her.
"Can I help you?" They were interrupted by a female jeweller. Riku looked up at her, nodding his head.
"I'm looking for an engagement ring." He told the worker. She looked at them a little confused as she assumed Saki was his fiancée. He noticed and laughed. "Oh, she's not my fiancée, she's her best friend." All 3 laughed for a moment. "She's just here to help me choose."
"Alright. Any rings you think she would like?" The worker asked. Saki nodded and pointed out a couple of rings. Saki had the same ring size, so she would help make sure he brought the right size.

After half an hour, he had decided on a ring. He and Saki were now sat in a coffee shop drinking their coffees.
"So, how do you plan to propose to Kokona?" Saki asked. Riku shrugged his shoulders, assuming he could just give her the ring and ask her to marry him.
"Probably just going to ask her. He said casually. Saki looked at him in shock. She shook her head furiously at him.
"No. You can't just do that. Let me help you make it special." She offered. He made a small sigh, nodding his head. He knew very little about proposing, and Saki was a wedding planner who knew all about this kind of thing. She smiled at him as he accepted her offer. She was going to make this the best proposal for her best friend.

A few months later, it was finally the time for Riku to propose to Kokona. She was pregnant, and her baby bump had began to grow. Saki had set up a beautiful dinner for them at a fancy British afternoon tea place for them, and they were both impressed. He was still very nervous, even though he had practiced his proposal for that felt like a million times with Saki.
"Kokona, the reason I brought you here was because I have something I need to do." She looked at him, confused. He stood up and got down on his knee, pulling a velvet black box from his back pocket. She gasped as she realised what Riku was doing. "I know I promised your father I'd propose before the baby came, but that's not the only reason why I'm doing this. The idea of a future with you excites me. I don't want to ever be without you. I love you with every breath I take." He opened the velvet jewellery box in his hand, revealing a silver ring with 3 diamonds. It was the ring he and Saki had chosen out for Kokona. "Miss Kokona Haruka, will you make me the happiest man alive and say you'll marry me?" He asked.
"Yes, Riku. Of course I will marry you." She squealed with excitement. He slipped the ring on to her finger before they both stood up and embraced each other, their lips meeting in a passionate kiss.
