253: Love, And A Dying Curse

Oka Ruto x Shu Hanazawa (YanBoy4 ):

The morning started completely normal for Shu. He walked out to the track for a morning workout before class. As he was walking he could hear the delinquents laughing. He peeked into the incinerator area out of curiosity, and couldn't believe what he was seeing. One of the boys was holding a fancy looking book as high as possible above a tiny girl who was jumping up to get it. He blushed lightly, seeing how pretty this girl was. He had seen her in class, and knew she was Oka Ruto, the occult club president.
"Know your place, freak!" One male delinquent spat at her, slapping her across the cheek. She whimpered, looking up in horror as the delinquent who had her book started tearing pages out of it and throwing them into the incinerator.
"Please stop!" Oka begged, tears streaming down her cheeks. The delinquents laughed, throwing the tattered remains of the book in the incinerator and activating it. She knew he couldn't watch this anymore. He had to help.
"Leave her alone!" He snapped as he walked over and stood in front of her to protect her from them. The delinquents laughed. He didn't even budge, not fearing them. Oka cowered fearfully behind Shu and prayed everything was going to be okay.
"Whatever. I'm bored now. Let's just go." The main boy sighed, walking away. The others quickly followed. As soon as they were gone he turned to Oka and extended his hand to her. She took it, and he helped her up.
"Th-thank you." She stuttered shyly, letting his hand go as soon as she was up and had her balance. He nodded his head, grinning.
"You're welcome. Catch you later sweetie." He said with a hint of cockiness before running to the track. Oka watched, sighing quietly. She grabbed a tissue from her pocket and coughed into it suddenly, seeing a small splatter of bright red blood. She'd been sick for a while, and it was progressing quickly.
"No... I can't die... not now... I haven't summoned a demon yet..." she murmured sadly to herself. She was scared to die without completing her life goal. She sighed as she disposed of the tissue inside the incinerator, frowning sadly when she saw her destroyed book still alight, before heading back inside to her club room.

Shu glanced over at Oka in class, smiling a little. To say he had developed a bit of a crush on her was an understatement. He was smitten for the shy girl he'd saved from the delinquents. Oka had feelings for him too. He was her knight in shining armour, but constantly felt she wasn't good enough for him. He hoped to prove her wrong, though. On Friday he would tell her how he felt under the cherry blossom tree.

The next day during cleaning time, Oka had to dispose of some rubbish in the incinerator area. She was kinda nervous about going there in case the delinquents were there again. She threw the rubbish bag into the incinerator without spotting them. She turned around, jumping when she saw them stood behind her.
"Oh look, the freak's back." One laughed, making the others laugh. They were blocking the exit, so she had no way of escaping them. She couldn't back away either, because the incinerator was there.
"Let's see if she's a freak in bed too." Another suggested with a smirk. Oka trembled, petrified by the suggestion. A third delinquent walked over and grabbed her by her shirt. She started struggling, wanting to be left alone. The delinquent growled and slapped her across the back of the head, knocking her out. None of them noticed the small splatter of blood that came from her mouth when she was hit.

Shu walked out to the incinerator when he saw the male delinquents gathered in a corner of the incinerator area. Peeking through a gap, he saw Oka unconscious and undressed. He put his hands to his mouth to prevent a sound, knowing he had to help her.
"Okay. Everyone gets 10 minutes with her when she wakes up. Use a condom please, we don't want her to get pregnant. I have spares." One delinquent told the others, making plans for what to do with their unconscious victim. They assumed they were alone, otherwise they wouldn't have spoken loud enough for Shu to hear or stuck around in the area with her. He made a low growl, stepping out of his hiding spot.
"That won't be necessary. None of you are doing anything to my girlfriend." He told them firmly. They all turned around and realised Shu had heard everything. "Now, let me take her to the nurse and away from you. It wouldn't be good if the guidance counsellor found out you were planning to rape this innocent girl, would it?" He asked, folding his arms. They growled and sprinted away. None of them wanted to go to jail or get into trouble. Shu sighed and sat down beside Oka, gently dressing her again before carrying her to the nurse.
