Time Heals Everything

Chapter 3

"Idiot." I mumbled under my breath as I watched him leave
He didnt realize as he taped me to the chair I had balled my fist so when I relaxed the sweat that accumulated would allow me to slide my wrist out easily. He also didnt pat me down considering I still had the knife in my front pocket I was able to cut my self free.
He was not that smart of a criminal even though we study them. I was able to get into the hall way and get to the door with the sun shining under it. I opened it and walked down the street trying to blend in.
I walked for what seemed like four miles before deciding I was safe enough and went into a small boutique.
"Hi. I need to borrow a phone. I lost mine." I said asking the young girl at the counter
"Are you ok?" Was her first question
Without realizing I was looking like a crazy person who was just assaulted.
"Yeah. Can I please call someone its important." I said pleading
She agreed and gave me her phone and calling her manager up to the check out. I dialed the first number I could think of. Three rings later a familiar voice answered
"Hello?" The questioned
"Debra." I said almost crying. I never thought I would be excited to hear her voice.
"Who is this?" She asked still knowing its an unknown number.
"Its Britt." I said earning a gasp
"Oh my gosh. Honey are you ok?" Where are you?" She stared to ask before I cut her out to tell her where I was
"Little Miss boutique. Please come get me." I said as tears slipped
"Im actually a mile away. I will be tight there stay inside." She said before telling the driver to speed there.
I gave the phone back to the girl and the manager looked at me puzzled.
"It was my mother in law. She will be her soon." I said leaving out the part that I was a federal agent
A few minutes passed and I saw the town car pull up and Debras little body stepping out. I sighed in relief and ran to hug her.
"Lets get you to a hospital. Okay?" She said and asked for permission before wiping my tears away and guiding me to the car.

We get to the hospital and I told the front desk I was a federal agent to get my process sped up.  I was rushed to a private room fast and left behind a worried Debra.
"Can you go get my mother in law?" I asked the nurse before she started to look at my bruises and cuts. She nodded and walked back in with Debra behind her.
"Did you call Jacob?" I asked
"Yes. Hes on his way from Quantico with your mom." She said grabbing my hand
"Wheres Rae?" I asked panicked not wanting her anywhere near there
"Shes been with us. She actually at the park with Mike and Preston. She fine dont worry." She said helping me relax

I got dismissed with a clean bill of health and a few new stitches in my arm. We went back to Debras and I saw Mike carrying my little girl around trying to stop her from crying.
"Little princess your mommy is here." He said turning around as her eyes saw me and she reached out for me to hold her.
"Shhh, its okay baby. Im here Im not going anywhere. I promise." I said whispering into her head and rocking her around trying not to cry.

She fell asleep and was woken up by a loud slam of a door but didnt cry. I looked at the door way and saw Jacob standing there with red puffy eyes and out of breath. I passed Rae to Preston and stood up and ran to Jacob.
"Im so sorry. Im sorry." I started crying as he stood there not hugging me back.
"I thought I lost you again." He said wrapping his arms around me finally
"I know who it is." I said pulling away seeing JJ and Will walking into the room.

A blast of cold water was dumped on me making me see I was still in the room tied to the chair and Steve standing in front of me.

It was all a dream. Im still in this hell hole. I snapped out of it knowing I will be getting out tonight.
