Time Heals Everything

Chapter 6

We spent the rest of the day being together as a family as our appointed marshal Jax got use to us. We were told we were taking one of the private jets to California and being taken from the plane to our new house. I was dreading the whole change.

The next morning I was woken up with a slobbery kiss and a laughing Jacob.
"Uhg babe." I said rolling over as Rae grabbed a fist full of my hair
"She wanted to say goodmorning." He laughed as he helped get my hair from her grip.
"What time is it?" I asked seeing there was no light coming in from the window
"Four thirty. Plane leaves at five thirty." He said picking up Rae and throwing me his shirt and underwear
"I need to get things packed." I said getting out of bed
"No. Mom gave us a card to buy clothes there for us. Different weather over there." He said laughing
"Is my mom and dad flying with us still?" I asked trying to find my leggings
"No. They will fly out next week. Jax thought it would be better for us to settle down first before we had visitors." I nodded at that idea
"Shes hungry." I told him as she grabbed his dog tags I got him for our one year and put them in her mouth
"Lets go eat little munchkin" he said kissing her head

We said our goodbyes and got on the plane. I laid on the couch and watched Jacob walk up and down the middle trying to get Rae to calm down. Jax looked unhappy at the crying baby. I got up and sat next to him.
"Not a fan of babies?" I asked
"Not really." He said rubbing his temples
"Only two hours down five more to go." I laughed
"How do you deal with the non stop crying?" He asked me with a slight smile
"Shes actually really good." I said seeing her now calm down
"So, I have to go over some rules." He said getting serious. We both nodded for him to go
"I have to know what plans are for the day. I assigned to watch you as a whole. We have two agents that will be on your detail. Britt you might want to get close with your agent. She will become your best friend. Jacob yours will be your co owner of the gym. They will be under cover as a married couple living next door to you two. Im next door to them. We will have meetings every Wednesday night. That is when I will update you on what is happening in Quantico." He said making this easier to take in coming from him and not the other guy.

We finally landed and walked over to the SUV parked by where we landed. Jax walked us over and we got in.
"Hi, Im Nate and this is my wife Katy." The driver said turning around as I buckled in Rae.
"Aww so you two are the ones?" Jacob asked smiling
"We are actually married." Katy said laughing.
"Where are we going?" I asked not wanting to be cramped in the car any longer
"To pick up your car. Jacob your truck is already at the house. Britt we have to pick up your Range Rover." She said as we started driving
"Thats a little expensive." I said not really wanting it
"When you see where you live. Its needed." Nate said laughing

We followed them to our new house and it was a beautiful beach house sitting on the beach. This was actually ours.
I got out and got Rae out and we walked around taking in our new house. We walked out to the front and had a beautiful patio that looked over the beach.
"Well this view just got a lot better." Jacob said wrapping his arms around me
"Its like a forced vacation." I laughed at our terrible timing for this to happen

We sat out there watching the sunset and Jacob tried to start a fire pit. The neighbors that we didnt know were out having a barbecue when the wife noticed us. She was all west coast and walked over to the divider between our houses.
"Hey, you all just moved here today right?" She asked
"Yeah." I stood up and walked over to her
"Im Taylor." She said reaching out for my hand
"Britt." I said smiling
"You are really young. How old are you?" She asked being nosey
"Twenty one." I said happily
"And you own a 1.5 million dollar home?" She asked surprised
"Why does that matter?" I asked offended
"It doesnt. So you only have one kid?" She asked before Jacob came over with Rae
"Yes we do." Jacob said kissing my head and giving me her
"Babe, I couldnt start the fire. So I thought a movie night in." He said with an irresistible smile
"It was nice meeting you Taylor." I said walking away and into my house

"I dont like her." I said sitting down and watching Jacob lock and setting the alarm
"Well get use to her cause we dont know how long we will be here." He said before sitting next to me. Nothing else mattered that night but knowing my family is safe.
