Time Heals Everything

Chapter 5

I was released the next day from the hospital and immediately taken to New York. We get off the plane and went to Jacobs parents house.
"Its going to be fine." JJ said as she placed her hand on my leg to keep it from bouncing up and down from nerves.
All I could do was nod. I was scared to go into protection. We had our lives here and everything was fine. I knew I was going to make my own demands if I was going to follow through with it.

We pull up to the familiar mansion and Jacob opened my door and pulled me into a hug.
"I just want to see her." I said whispering in his ear.
"Lets go see her." He said before kissing my forehead
We walked in and Debra walked right up to us holding Rae.
"Hey baby." I said taking her into my own arms. She looked up at me and smiled with a giggle.
"Lets get started." Hotch said breaking my happy moment of being reunited with my child.

We sat in the dinning room. The team, Will, Jacobs family, and two marshals.
"So this is how its going to work. You three are moving to California and will take on the last name Nolan. They dont suspect you have made amends with Jacobs family. Britt you will be a stay at home mom, this will give you the time to still take your profile classes and go to the LA department for checking in on your classes. Jacob your friend Nick said he will take care of business here correct?" And Jacob nodded
"You told him you were looking to expand and found a place in Hermosa Beach to open up a new gym. Thats what you are doing. Your parents have already bought a new gym for you with equipment and everything. A marshall will be living with you three at all times." The head marshal who was introduced as Mark said
"No." I said to the marshall living with us
"Excuse me?" He said surprised I said no.
"He can live next door or across the street but not with us and I want a female agent or marshal present too." I said saying part of the demands.
"Fine. We can make that happen." He said nodding
"I want my parents and Jacobs parents and the team to be able to visit us. I want to be kept in the loop and I want my daughter to be able to know her grandparents." I said as she slammed her tiny hand on the table.
"Well I guess the little one has spoken. They can but it needs to be planned out with the marshals first." He said before we shook hands
"You leave in the morning." He said walking out as the other marshal who was assigned to us stayed.

The team left and it was just is and our parents sitting and watching Rae play with toys.
"Its going to be fine." Debra said walking over and sitting next to me
"I put everyone in this position." I said watching JJ come and sit on the other side of me
"No you didnt. Hes just crazy. And the team will be looking for him like crazy." She said as I leaned my head on her shoulder
"Mmuuummmmmm" Rae mumbled out not saying a word.
"Guys lets go out side." Mike said standing up and they all left
"We know you dont want any help from us but we wanted to. We owe you two this." Debra said grabbing my hand
"What did you do?" I asked
"We bought you a house. Its fully furnished and everything." She said squeezing my hand
"You didnt need to we are fine." I said smiling at the gesture
"Its your wedding gift."she said smiling
Rae made more sounds and I got up to pick her up
"Are you ready for a nap?" I asked watching her eyelids get heavy.
"Third door on the right." Debra said pointing upstairs.
I walked into the room she told me and saw how pink and girly it was. It was truly made for a little princess. I smiled at the thought they put into Raes room she would have while she visited. I put her down and watched her sleep peacefully.

I felt two arms wrap around my waist and a head rest on my shoulder.
"Stop thinking that." Jacob said in a whisper
"Thinking what?" I asked
"Thinking that you are a terrible mother or wife." He said turning me around and wiping my tears
"I am. We have to go into witness protection." I said looking into his eyes
"But its not your fault we have too. Its that assholes fault." He said looking back into my eyes
"Language. Shes starting to babble." I said smiling
"Whatever. Mom is making lunch lets go eat and enjoy the time we have living in the east coast before going to the west coast. You are going to be one hot beach momma." He said smacking my butt as we went to leave
