Chapter 23

I sat on the plane reliving what has just happened and Skyped Garcia.
"Mini JJ why are you in first class and not with the team. They havent left yet." She said picking up
"Im going to New York. Jacobs grandpa died. I need you to look someone up for me." I said getting to the point
"Why?" She asked
"This guy sat next to me and knew my life pretty in depth and it freaked me out." I said playing with my rings
"Stop playing with your rings. Whats his name?" She asked
"Peter Lewis." As I watched her facial expression change
"I need to call the team." She said and Hotch picked up
"Whats up Garica?" He asked as our conversation went to a three way and the team joined in
"Britt talked to him." Was all she could say
"Talked to who?" JJ asked looking concerned
"A Peter Lewis. He knew like everything about me." I said as they all looked at each other
"When you land in New York you will have a federal agent with you at all times." Hotch said pulling his phone out
"No." I said as everyone looked surprised
"I cant keep having someone watch after me. Ive been there done that. I need to be with my family and my family alone." I said before hanging up

The six hour plane ride went by fast and I was on the ground in New York looking for my name on a sign
"Britt LaMontange?" A guy asked behind me
"Ya." I said turning around and seeing it was Dylan
I gave him a huge hug and we walked back to the car
"So hows being a bad ass federal agent?" He asked once we got settled in
"Its good kindof fun." I laughed
"Jacobs not doing to well. He locked himself in his old room and Rae just wants to see him." He said getting right down to business
"I figured as much." I said sighing
"I swear that little girl is adorable and is going to be a great older cousin." He said with a smile
"Oh my god!" I said getting excited
"Nicole is about eight weeks in." He said proudly
"Im so excited for you two. If you need the practice you can have Rae." I laughed
"We are getting enough of that. She has yours and Jacobs attitude. My mom took her shopping with Nicole and she was so upset about not getting a cookie she didnt talk to them for the rest of the day." He said laughing as I shook my head
"Aww I miss my little one." I said
"She misses you too." He said comforting me

We finally pull up to the mansion and I get out as Dylan grabs my things
"I will get these inside go see Jacob." He said as I walked in
The house was quiet and sad for what seemed like the first time ever since we made amends.
"You finally got here." Debra said giving me a hug
"Yeah. Where is he?" I asked
"In his room. Rae fell asleep next to him." She said with tears in her eyes and I nodded and went upstairs

"Babe?" I asked knocking quietly and opening the door
They were both asleep peacefully and there was enough room for me to lay on the other side of Rae. Tiredness won over me as I fell asleep next to them.

"Mommy?" A little voice said right in front of my face
I slowly opened my eyes and saw my little mini me looking at me
"Hi baby." I said smiling
"Mommy." She said excitedly and snuggled in closer to me
I looked over and saw Jacob was still sleeping. I slipped out of bed and picked Rae up and left the room
"Missed you." She said laying her head on my shoulder
"I missed you too." I said kissing her forehead
I carried her downstairs and saw everyone around the kitchen table
"Hey look whos up." Debrah said walking over to us
"That red eye really made me more tired than I thought." I laughed
"Is he still asleep?" She asked concerned
"Ya. I think this is the most he has gotten since hes called me." I said bouncing Rae on my hip
"Mommy Im hungry." She said rubbing her eyes
"Papa made pancakes and bacon." Debra said as she wiggled out my arms and ran to the kitchen
"Go back up to him. We have her." She said pulling me into a hug and I nodded and went back up stairs

I tipped toed back into the room seeing him still asleep. I picked up the closest shirt I could find and changed into it and got back into bed.
"I missed you." I said snuggling into his arms
"I missed you too." He said taking me by surprise
"How are you doing?" I asked opening my eyes and looking into his
"Better now that you are here." He said pulling me closer and kissing my forehead
"Can we try and go back to sleep?" I asked yawning
"Yes. I heard you come in around one this morning and having Rae wake you up early." He chuckled
"I love you." I said hearing him say it back as we fell back asleep

"Mommy!" Rae yelled as the door quickly poured light into the room waking both of us up again
"What about daddy?" Jacob said sarcastically as she climbed on to the bed sitting down between us
"GiGi and Grandaddy is here too!" She said excited
"Uhggg." I groaned and laid back down
"Mommy lets go." She said pulling my arm to get out
"I will be right there." I said as Jacob put a shirt on and take Rae back downstairs
I pulled on leggings and put a bra back on before going downstairs.

I get down there and see JJ and Will sitting on the couch. JJ was the first to get up and hug me.
"Why didnt you tell me?" She asked while we hugged
"We were on a case and I didnt think it would be done as fast as it was." I said trying not to tear up
"We do need to talk about Peter Lewis still." She said in a whisper as I nodded and we joined the rest of the family.

Sorry I've been really working on where I can take this story and have come up with some good ideas and now need to just put it into words. But I will be updating more again. Thanks for reading 😊
