Chapter 37

I started driving and only stopped for gas twice. Before finally making it in to the city.
"Alright Kelly, why are you in the Bronx?" I asked myself out loud before getting out of the car to bust the drug deal
I hear a scream knowing it must be her
"Stop FBI!" I yelled running down the alleyway as a guy took off running
"Britt?" She asked coughing up blood laying on the ground
"Its me Kelly." I said crouching down to her
"Did you pick up the phone when I called?" She asked as I helped her stand up
"Ya I did." I said helping her to my car
"You look good." She said as I got her into the front seat
"Thanks." I said before closing the door and walking back to the drivers side and getting in
"Dont take me to the hospital." She said looking at me
"I wont." I said knowing I will when we get back to Virginia and everything gets settled
"Im sorry." She said before crying and wanting to hug me
"I know you are." I said driving away and ignoring the attempt

"Kelly wake up." I said nudging her as I parked my car in the garage
She moaned in pain and got out of the car and started to limp
"I got you." I said helping her get in
"Brittney LaMontange!" I heard JJ yell from the kitchen scaring Kelly as she came around the corner with Debra right behind her
"Britt. What did you get yourself into?" JJ asked getting on Kellys other side helping me take her up stairs to a guest room
"I will meet you down stairs." I told her as I went to the bathroom to get a wet wash cloth
"What did you get into this time?" She asked with a small smile
"I went after you. My real mother isnt happy and neither is the hubby." I said tapping the washcloth to her forehead
"You didnt need to." She said flinching
"I had to. Your my sister." I said with a smile
"I treated you like shit growing up. I dont deserve to be considered your sister." She said with a tear falling
"Kelly it doesnt matter how you treated me. Before they died we got along and were real siblings." I said holding back my tears
"Help me get clean." She said pleading with me
"I promise I will." I said moving out of the way so she can shower.
"I will bring you some clothes and when you finish you can come down stairs." I said before walking out

"Who is she?" Debra asked when I walked into the kitchen pour a cup of coffee
"I dont think so." JJ said taking it from me and reminding me
"Shes my sister." I said slumping down on a barstool at the counter
"From your adoptive parents?" She asked and I nodded
"Why is she here?" JJ asked upset
"She called and needed help." I said happily taking breakfast from Debra
"So are you?" Debra asked sitting next to me clearing the elephant in the room
"Am I what?" I asked confused
"Dont play that. Will there be another Rae running around?" She asked as JJ just smiled
"How would you feel about two more Raes?" I asked taking a sip of pineapple juice my first craving
"What!?" She yelled making me almost spit my juice out
"I might have gotten super lucky and not just be having one baby but twins." I said smiling as she attacked me with hugs and kisses on my cheek
"Whats all the cheering about?" Will asked with Rae in his arms and Jacob walking over to me and pulling me into a hug and away from his mom
"Does he not know yet?" Debra asked looking at a confused Will and now Mike
"There are going to be two Raes running around!" She squealed making Rae cover her ears
"No shit." Will said looking at me and Jacob
"Ohhhhhh Grand Daddy said a bad word." Rae said wiggling her way down and over to me
"Wow. There is a lot of people here." Kelly said walking in to the kitchen and everyones celebrating stopped
"Who are you?" Rae asked innocently
"She is your Aunt Kelly." I said smiling as she wiggled from my grip and ran over to her
"Hi Aunt Kelly. I am Raelynn Marie LaMontange." She said holding her hand out for her to shake it as she stumbled on our last name
"Hello pretty girl." She said getting on her level and pulling her into a hug
"Hey Rae lets go watch a movie." Debra suggested looking at Will and Mike to follow her to give us time alone with Kelly

"You look good." Jacob said breaking the silence
"Thanks." She said looking at the ground
"You two have a beautiful home." She said looking back at us
"What do you want Kelly?" JJ asked not holding anything back
"I need help. I want off the drugs and for this random person to stop contacting me and wanting information about you and your family." She said and me and JJ looked right at each other
"What is his name?" I asked
"Peter Lewis." She said making me start hyperventilating
