Chapter 35

I walked into the gym like any anormal day. Turned the lights on, turned my computer on, and turned the A/C on. Nothing is out of place with the weights or with anything else in the gym thankfully.
I sat at the front desk getting everything ready for the day knowing it would be busy.
"Hey Britt." Nick said walking past me and into the back
"Whens your first class?" I asked following him
"In twenty minutes." He said setting his gym bag down
"Have fun." I said laughing watching him move things around
"You going to join?" He asked
"Haha very funny. Im in jeans and didnt bring any work out clothes." I said sitting down on a ball
"Whens J coming in?" He asked before waving at the first person for his class
"Once he gets Rae fed and dressed. He doesnt have any classes but we have meetings today about expanding." I said knowing they will be long meetings
"Are you sitting in on them?" He asked
"Yes and no. I will be for the first fifteen minutes but I have to go pick up his parents from the airport." I said watching three more people come in
"Well I better get back to my front desk duties." I said saluting him and going back to the front

After an hour of going through payment plans and talking on the phone with random questions I was done with what I felt like doing. I walked back to the main room and saw Jacob walking around holding a sleeping Rae as he tried to coach.
"What are you doing with my child?" I asked laughing
"I dont want to be in my office so I came out here." He said passing me her
"Did she not want to get ready?" I asked still seeing her in her pajamas
"No. She has your attitude today." He said earning him an eye roll
"Remember we have a meeting in two hours. Dont get sweaty." I said walking to his office to put her down

"So about the expansion." The banker said as we sat down around a table
"Ya we want to open one in Arlington. This one is thriving right now in Quantico and the one in Hermosa is as well." Jacob said while passing him our statements from both gyms
"And who is running the gym in California?" Brett his partner asked
"We hired a retired crossfit competitor to run it." Jacob said confidently knowing we made the right decision on hiring him
"And what about this gym? Who would run it while you work on the new one?" The other banker Dean said
"Nick would run this one and I would be putting in twice the amount of work in both gyms." Jacob said looking at me for more support
"Jacob has worked hard on this gym and the one in California. He is not running them alone. He has his best friend helping him and me. We just need to know if the bank will allow us to open up a new gym and if it will be worth our while." I said looking at the clock seeing I needed to go
"I hope this will work out but I have to go pick up my in laws from the airport." I said standing up and shaking their hands

"Raelynn." I yelled into the gym getting her attention from the bulky guys that were pretending to have a tea party with her
"Mommy Im in the middle of something." She said upset
"NaNa and PaPa are about to be here. We need to get them." I said trying not to laugh as she hid behind Matt one of the guys who coaches with us
"Peanut you cant hid behind me. Your mom is the big boss." He said picking her up and passing her to me as she frowned
"Thats right." I said tickling her making her laugh

"They are here!" She yelled running to give Debra and Mike hugs
"My little one." Mike said picking her up and walking towards us
"Hey Britt." Debra said giving me a hug
"Hey Debra." I said pulling away
"Are you?" She asked before getting interrupted by Rae wanting to be held by her
I shrugged my shoulders and we walked to get their luggage.

We get back to the gym and showed them around before the gym phone rang and I excused myself.
"Hello?" I asked picking up the phone
"Is this Agent LaMontange?" They asked worried
"No." I said telling the truth knowing I wasnt an agent anymore
"Do you know where I can reach her? I know her husband owns this gym." They said rushed
"Who is calling?" I asked needing to know who it is.
"Kelly. Her sister." They said before hanging up leaving me speechless
