Chapter 44

We pull up to a restaurant that was unfamiliar to me.
"What is this place?" I asked getting out and he grabbed me hand and walked in
"A new client at the gym is opening up a new restaurant and he invited us the the pre grand opening." He said with a smile
"So we get to try it before anyone else?" I asked excitedly
"Yes we do." He said opening the door to the restaurant that was completely empty except for one table in the middle that was ready to have two people sit at it
"Jacob I thought you said this was the pre grand opening?" I asked confused not seeing a single person there
"Um well more like a pre pre grand opening." He said before getting cut off by a person out of no where
"Jacob and his lovely wife Britt. I am Alan and welcome to Brio." He said with a smile and making us follow him to the table in the center
"Jacob has told me this is a special night and has already put your order in." He said before I could even get his name
"Babe what is going on?" I asked with a small laugh
"I have everything taken care of now lets enjoy." He said right when a waitress was pouring champaign
"Im pregnant I cant have any." I said holding my hand over the glass
"Hun its sparkling cider." He said with a lopsided grin
"Well look at you Mr. LaMontange. What did you do wrong to give me this kindof treatment?" I asked picking it up to cheers with him
"I might have closed on the new gym." He said with and even bigger smile
"Oh my god babe that is great." I said proud of him
"And its our anniversary." He said making me confused
"No ours was in March." I said confirming it myself knowing when we got married
"No six years ago today I took you on our first date." He said bringing a smile to my face
"How did I get so lucky?" I asked wiping the tears that started to fall
"I think I am the lucky one." He said reaching for my hand across the table
"I highly doubt that." I said looking at him full of love
"I know what you did today." He said making my heart drop
"Im sorry I wasnt thinking. I acted on emotions. My mom already told me off." I said panicked
"Im not mad. Upset that it was stupid but I forgive you." He said with his smirk I have always been in love with
"Im sorry." I said again just making sure
"Its fine. Now lets eat." He said and our food was set in front of us

We were on our way home and I was full.
"Thanks for tonight babe." I said reaching over to hold his hand
"Anything for you." He said as we continued in a happy silence home
"I hope she is asleep." I said as we walked in
"Shhh." Debra said as we walked into the living room with a sleeping Rae next to her
"How long?" Jacob whispered walking over to her
"An hour or two. She was trying to stay up for you two." She whispered as Jacob picked her up and took her to her room
"Was she good?" I asked sitting next to her
"Yes. She had a melt down during dinner because the mac and cheese and carrots were touching but other than that she was perfect." She smiled happily
"I think I am going to bed." I said standing up and saying goodnight
"Hey babe." I said walking into the bathroom brushing his teeth
"Hey baby mama. I love calling you baby mama." He said pulling me into a hug
"I know you do." I said giving him a deep kiss
"Lets go to bed." He laughed out of breath and let me follow him to bed.
