Chapter 30

We arrived back at Jacobs parents and said goodbye to Will and JJ. Rae was asleep and I brought her to our room for her to sleep in a more quieter room.
"I never thought I could see you as a mom Britt." Steven said as I joined everyone in the living room
"Well it happened." I said shrugging my shoulders and leaning into Jacob
"Does mom and dad know yet?" Jacob asked looking between them
"No. But they will when they get home. I mean they cant be that mad about it, they got over you and Britt being together pretty fast." He said making me flip him off
"Well we have their first grandchild and Im not gay." Jacob said earning him and elbow to the side for his comment
"Jacob, Britt you two dont need to be at the will reading tomorrow. I think we are going to just skip it and fall into what ever is given, because the last time was to much drama." Debra said coming in with a glass of wine for me and her
"Who are you?" She asked after sitting down next to me
"Mom this is Steven." Preston said as they both stood up
"Ok." She said before looking over at me
"Im going to send Rae home with some more..." She started to say but got interrupted by a pissed of Preston
"Mom this is Steven my partner." He said almost yelling
"You dont need to get angry." She said with a smile I became all to familiar with
"Mom thats the smile you always would give Britt when you didnt like her." Jacob said trying not to laugh
"Preston, your father and I have always known you were gay. Nice to meet you Steven." She said standing up and giving Steven a hug
"Wow Jacob. You should have been gay and Britt should have been a dude." Preston said laughing
"Ha ha so funny." I said placing my wine glass down and going upstairs being followed by Debra
"Britt you know I love you now. And to be honest you are my favorite daughter in law." She said pulling me into a hug
"I love you too." I said pulling away
"You three need to go home and spend tome together." She said being right
"I think we will. Goodnight." I said going into our room and changing for bed
I got in on my side next to Rae feeling a burning body
Shit I internally groaned and got back up to get Jacob

"Ya we have been trying for number two." Jacob said as I paused to listen at the top of the stairs
"Well the first one is adorable." Steven said making me smile
"Well shes a nightmare when she is either hungry or tired." Preston said making me roll my eyes
"I do want another one but I dont think it will happen." Jacob said sadly
"You could always adopt." Preston said
"She wont do that. She wants to have the connection with the child." Steven said knowing me well
"Hey babe." I said interrupting before it got any further
"Ya." He yelled
"I think Rae has a fever. Where does your mom keep the medicine?" I asked walking into the living room
"I think..." He started to say before Rae started screaming
We both ran upstairs as fast as we could to see her sitting up and holding onto a teddybear tightly
"What wrong baby?" I asked walking closed to calm her down
"My tummy." She said as tears streaked her face
"She threw up." Jacob said looking at the floor on my side of the bed
"Come here." I said pulling her close to me and carrying her to the bathroom to put her in a bath
"Its ok." I said pushing back her wet hair as she still cried
"My tummy." She said almost throwing up
I pulled her out and in front of the toilet and held back her hair.
"Do you want water?" I asked as I put on a fresh pair of pajamas and she nodded yes
"Lets go get some." I said picking her up as she laid her head in my shoulder

"I heard she doesnt feel good." Debra said pouring another glass of wine
"No. Jacobs cleaning the mess." I said grabbing a sippy cup and started putting water in in
"Here this should help with the fever." She said giving me childrens motrin
"Little one you need to take this." I said pouring a tablespoon for her
She mumbled ok and took it shivering at the bitter taste
"Lets go back to bed. Maybe daddy is done cleaning." I said giving Debra a small smile as I took her back upstairs
"All clean." Jacob said standing shirtless when I came back in the room
"And your shirtless why?" I asked whispering noticing Rae was falling back asleep
"I was all gross." He said with his signature grin making me roll my eyes
I put her back into bed and got in next to her as she got closer to me
"Can you get me a cold rag babe?" I asked Jacob as he walked out of the bathroom and turned back around
"Shes out cold." I said playing with her hair as she was still cuddled up against my chest with the rag on her forehead cooling her off
"Shes still really warm." Jacob said lifting her shirt up and feeling her back
"I wonder how she got sick. She was perfectly fine." I whispered when she started to stir
"We will take my parents plane tomorrow and go to her doctor. Hopefully its the stomach flu." He said as I nodded and closed me eyes to fall asleep.

I honestly love this story and I dont want it to end but I dont have that many ideas left!!! Thanks for reading 😊
