Brent
"Papa naman! Huhuhu! Bakit mo ako hinayaan sumama sa kanya. Natatakot ako!" Lily reacted while she's sitting on the shot gun seat beside me.
When I said date, that means we'll be going out of town. She can't say no because Aunt Emilia fixed her stuffs and all she needs to do is to go with me.
I blankly stared at her and almost clenched the gear shift I'm holding. This wife of mine is really loud most of the time.
"You're so nosy. Ano bang gagawin ko sa'yo? Do I look like a ghost? Bakit ka natatakot sa akin?" I retorted.
She cleared her throat and played her lips, "Eh k-kasi hindi ko alam kung saan tayo pupunta. Yun lang naman."
"Then you don't need to react like that!" I unconsciously raised my voice.
"Sorry," Lily bowed down her head and refrained from talking.
I sighed and just turned on the stereo. It's freaking awkward if we just stayed quiet during the whole time of the trip.
Damn, I just wanna talk to her and clear things up but I can't barely speak. Natotorpe ba ako? No, I can't even feel nervous at all - I don't know.
"S-saan nga pala tayo pupunta?" she asked me while I'm driving past SLEX.
"We'll go to my Villa at Tagaytay Highlands. I was planning to go to Amanpulo but the time is short. I'll be attending a business conference in Makati in three days' time and I need to prepare for that as well." I explained.
"Ganun ba?" she nodded. "Sige, okay lang sa akin." ngumiti siya ng pilit.
"Are you sure? I'm sorry if you felt that I'm forcing you."
She waved her hand, "No, that's fine. Siguro okay na din 'to para maalala din kita. Honestly, I really feel incomplete even if I'm having my therapies."
"Why?"
"Kasi pakiramdam ko parang ang daming nawalang memory sa akin na dapat na maibalik. Minsan nga hindi ko na alam kung yung mga naaalala ko ngayon ay talagang nangyari sa totoong buhay o kaya baka panaginip ko lang."
I turned to her in a snap. "What do you mean?"
"Ito. Yung tungkol sa atin, parang panaginip siya para sa akin. Everyone's telling me that we're married. Pero ang layo ng agwat natin sa isa't isa. Imagine, you're a Vice President of a multinational company. You're a former model, everybody knows you at saka ang gwapo mo masyado. Hindi yung katulad ko lang ang bagay sa'yo." she shrugged her shoulders.
I put my hand at the back of my neck and just smiled at her. "You think so?"
I saw her blush which made me more excited to introduce myself further. "Hindi ba halata? Kaya nga nasungitan kita dati kasi feeling ko pinagti-tripan mo ako."
"I'm not a joker by nature unlike my jerk cousin. I don't wanna waste both of our times just by lying."
"So totoo nga talaga? Hindi ako makapaniwala e. True talaga, Brent. You married someone like me?"
"I married you because why not? You want proof? I have a copy of our marriage certificate and license." I acted opening the drawer below the dashboard.
I firmed my lips to stopped myself from smiling. Damn, kalalaki kong tao tapos kinikilig ako ng ganito. What's with you, Brent Harper?
