Lhaine Lee Ramos - POV
I can't understand myself. Diane's feeling way worse so I won't be such a baby. But I won't lie that I've been feeling some 'withdrawal' symptoms.
"The cake is really good.
"Ryan's going abroad next school year and we need your help," bukas ni Tito sa ibang usapan. Alam ba nila ang nangyayari sa amin?
"Bakasyon po ba?" tanong ko.
"No, Lhaine, he said it's for good," sagot ni Tito.
"We talked to his teachers and they said that if his exams are good then there's no need for summer school. Thank you for helping him a lot. What we want to ask is that, sana magkasundo kayong dalawa sa mga natitirang araw niya dito. Lately, he won't talk when we bring up your name. You're not coming here as well so we figured you two aren't in good terms and we don't want the both of you separating just like that. We're sorry for being so selfish," hinawakan ni Tita ang kamay ko habang nagsasalita siya.
"Opo.
"He's going alone. As for us, we'll be out of the country most of the time starting this summer. We are having this talk so that we can prepare you," tugon naman ni Tito.
"Okay po," I even smiled like a madman. What if I just think of unicorns instead? Unicorns are cute. Unicorns are effective.
"And?"
"Okay lang."
"Hindi mo ako pipigilan? You never know, malay mo magbago ang isip ko."
Give me until the end of the school year."
Weeks from now ay finals na.
