"Heard the news?" Zenrid smirked. Sh*t! He really told Dad!
"How dare you! Dad's sending me to mom! Ayaw kong pumunta sa New York!"
"Winarningan naman kita pero hindi ka nakinig."
"Akala ko ba kakapmi kita sa lahat? Nasaan na 'yung pinagsamahan natin!?" I screamed, I don't care if they hear me.
"Akala ko rin pero ayaw ko ng maging babysitter mo."
"Because of Lhaine? What is she to you? Why does everyone center their life around her? I can't believe you're siding to a fragile girl."
"Nagseselos ka? Ikaw mismo ang nakipag-break sa akin."
"Hindi ako nagseselos," I started to stomp the groud like a kid.
"O si Ryan?"
"We're not an item. Ang dahilan lang naman kaya niya ako sinama dito ay para ako mismo ang magsabi kay Lhaine na two timer ka. Guess what, I won't do it because you are not. Magpakasaya ka kay Lhaine mo, I'm going to Ryan!"
"Can't let ya," hinitig niya ang braso ko.
"What's with you? I just said we are totally over."
"Huwag mong idamay si Lhaine. She's...special."
"As if I don't get that by now," binawi ko ang braso ko at tumungo sa parking lot. Sakto naman nakita ko si Lhaine na palabas sa dressing room hindi kalayuan.
"Hey, Lhaine!" I called her out. Siya mismo ang lumapit sa akin.
"Bakit?"
"I want to share something."
"Sure."
"Before that, do you mind?" naglabas ako ng cigar at sinindihan iyon kahit na hindi pa siya nakaksagot. Tinakpan nalang nito ang ilong niya. She even rolled her eyes.
"What's your dream, Lhaine?"
"Huh?"
"Gagawin mo ba ang lahat para makamit ang mga pangarap mo? What if there's someone who holds you out? Will you give up your dream and hapiness to be in a world you are not sure of?"
"Are you writing a book?" sarcastic na sabi nito. I almost dropped my cigar!
"Well you see, Ryan has dreams and here he is, waiting for an unsure thing. You like Zenrid too but you have Ryan? Selfish ka ba? I'm not here to bully you. I just want you to let go of Ryan right away. You're hurting him."
"That's my business to handle," ngayon naman ay naluluha na siya. I thought so. I walked out on her. When I glanced back, she was already crouched on the ground. Ano ba ang special sakanya? She annoys me. Even Zenrid, the person I thought who'll always be there for me, is now pro-Lhaine of some sort. Ginagayuma niya ba ang mga tao dito?
