~chapter 23~
I walked back to the hospital and sat in my car.
I was broken. My best friend is in the hospital, I'm fucking crazy, and I'm a whore!
I turned on the radio and sat listening.
"Cause all of me, loves all of you." I sang along with the song.
KNOCK. KNOCK
I look at to my right and see a nurse tapping on my window.
I press the button and the window rolled down.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Are you-" she looked down at a piece of paper. "Madeline?"
I nodded my head and rose my eyebrow.
"Come with me." She said.
I pulled out my keys from the keyhole and followed the woman.
She led me to Taylor's room. I wasn't ready to see him and disappoint him again. But my actions were stronger than my thoughts.
I walked in and saw Taylor awake sitting up.
"Hey." I say.
"Hey." He smirked at me making me blush just a little.
"I'm sorry I messed up your machines and pulled you down and-" he interrupts me in my apology.
"It's okay. It was an accident." He laughs mid-sentence but I was confused why.
"Why are you laughing?" I asked.
"I'm laughing because I'm okay. That I'm able to see you. I'm happy because you love me."
My heart warms with his love and I stand there.
"Allison?" I asked.
"She broke up with me a few minutes ago." He responds.
"Why aren't you upset?" I say.
"Why am I happy is the real question." He tells me.
A smile forms on my face and I sit down on his bed.
I lay next to his body and take selfies with him.
He begins to make vines to his fans that he is okay.
It was a long night and find myself asleep next to Taylor.
He was deep asleep so I went to the vending machine near the waiting room and bought a few granola bars for me and him to eat.
I walk back to the room and open a granola bar to eat.
I stare out the window and watch the sun hide behind the clouds until I heard a long beep.
Taylor's machine drew a straight line.
I shake Taylor and move him around trying to wake him up.
"NURSE! NURSE! NURSE!" I scream while pressing the alert button.
Nurses run in shocked to see Taylor.
Doctors run in behind and take out different equipment.
I stood near the door sobbing crying. I saw him dead.
He wasn't breathing. I'm never gonna see him again. I'm never gonna see him again.
