~chapter 27~
Maddie POV
It's been a few weeks since the incident.
He's alive but barely. His heart stopped because he lost a lot of blood and it wasn't pumping.
I stayed at the hospital with him everyday and never left.
I haven't seen him in days due to all the physicals and procedures.
But today was the day he left.
I had to be his nurse. He can barely stand and talk.
"He's ready." The nurse tells me, peeking her head through the door.
I get up from the seat and walk into his hospital room.
He was sitting there in a wheelchair, helpless.
I walked over to him and hugged me.
I planted a kiss on his cheek and went behind the chair.
"All you need to do is check his blood pressure every 7 hours, give him this medicine every 3 hours, and don't let him do anything involving strength or anything moving." The nurse told me.
I nod my head and pushed Taylor into the cab taking me to his home.
We arrive and we sit in the living room.
"Wanna watch netflix?" I asked.
He gave me a small nod and winked at me.
I grinned but inside I was broken.
His face was pale and his lips were dry.
He wore no bandana or beanie, he was all natural.
I put on a show, The Following, and we sit watching.
He was into the show but I kept staring at him.
He turns his head and looks at me.
"I'm the same person, Maddie. I'm just a little sick. But I'll get better."
He tells me.But I didn't think of it that way.
I believed he would get sicker and sicker each day until one day, he dies.
A tear rolled down my cheek. He got up out of his wheelchair and hugged me.
"I'm ok. I want you to act normal. You shouldn't be crying because I'm fine." He says. His smile widens and so does mine.
I lay my head into his chest and continue watching the show.
"I'm going to use the bathroom. Alone." He tells me.
I giggle and watch him reach the bathroom.
I continued watching the show until it finished.
I checked my phone and it said, "4:32" and he went to use the bathroom about 20 mins ago.
I walk over to the bathroom and laid my head on the door hoping to here some sort of movement.
Nothing.
I knocked.
"Taylor? Taylor?" I asked over and over.
Nothing.
I continue knocking and my heart beat faster.
I used all my strength and broke the door open within three hits.
I look around and see Taylor laying on the floor.
