River, Jeff, Jess, Mason, Drew and I stared back at the critical gaze that looked into the elevator. We were all too shocked to react.

River's publicist reached inside the stunned elevator and grabbed a hold of both River and I. Her grip was ironclad as we squirmed but her sharp nails refused to let us get away.

Without saying a word, she hustled us towards a hotel room, practically kicked open the door and threw us inside.

She was a tall, miserable woman. Her hair was a salt and pepper shade matching her other pale dull features. Even her red lipstick that was drawn over her thin lips seemed to lack any real colour. Her plain black pant suit lack any originality paired with a small line of pearls around her neck.

What her appearance lacked in personality, she made up for in her constantly condescending and angry mood.

"I tell you two to act like you're a couple and what do you do?" She sarcastically asked us as she paced in front of us, her hands flying everywhere as she spoke.

"You go in to complete hiding!" She threw up her hands in complete disbelief as if it was the craziest thought she had heard. River and I sat on the parallel couch in a lavished hotel suite. We exchanged a look between each other, in a daze at why it sounded like we were getting a scolding.

"Susan, we've gone out-" River started but was silenced by a single finger.

This chick was intimidating.

"Don't try and pass that small excursion to a tattoo parlour as publicity." Susan warned. "You're lucky I've been hard at work trying to make up for lost time!"

I sat completely in awe. Unless it was from Jess, I hadn't heard from Susan that we were supposed to show ourselves off to others.

Plus it wasn't as if people didn't know where we were. There were numerous twitter accounts that would post our constant whereabouts. Dedicated was good word to explain them. It was almost creepy how accurate they were at times. The accounts mostly focused on River and I's locations; specifically if we were together but sometimes they would post if Jess was at the gym or if Drew was taking a walk. I think Shatter was now used to looking over our shoulders except we'd never find anyone.

"We've got four days. In that time I've set up interviews, lunch dates and River is now presenting at the Teen Music Awards." She looked at us waiting for some type of joyous response. When she didn't get one, she just rubbed her forehead, completely frustrated with us.

"Alice, you'll be going with him..."

Another awkward pause as she waited for a reaction.

"And your little band too." She finally said, sitting down on a chair, completely annoyed with me.

My eyes shot wide open and my mouth dropped.

"We're going to walk the red carpet? Like an actual Hollywood event?" I asked in disbelieve.

Susan rolled her eyes and muttered. "Of course you would be excited over that."

"Ahh! Jess! Jess!" I shouted, jumping up and running towards the door of the suite we were in.

I knew that at the hotel we were currently staying at we were forced to book out the entire floor so the paparazzi or fans couldn't hound us. I also knew that Jess and I were sharing a room and she had probably made a beeline to the room as soon as she was pointed in the right direction. Jess would be able to find me if I yelled loud enough.

A door from across the hall opened quickly. Jess ran out, confused at what I was getting on about.

"Girl, what are you doing?" She asked.
