Chapter 10

•Connor's POV•

I want to cry right now. I know I should probably take this like a man but it just hurts too much. Maybe I should get someone to replace my feelings for Vanessa. Yeah. That's what I'll do. Get a girlfriend. And maybe it could get Vanessa jealous in a way.

•Vanessa's POV•

Right now I'm laughing with Haley, Emily, Klarissa, and Gaby as we enter school. I swear they are so damn funny. I guess dating Cameron is changing my mood. I wonder where he is.

"Hey sweet thing," I hear Cameron say as he jumps up from behind me. Never mind. I know where he is now.

"Hey," I say with a huge smile. Stupid braces. But he has braces too so who gives a shit?

"So. I have wondering if you want to hang out after school today?" Cameron asks me.

"Um. I would love to but I can't. I'm helping with the banners for the end of the year party. I'm the committee. Remember? Maybe after that if you're still up for it, sure," I tell Cameron truthfully.

"Yeah. That's great. I'll see you later. Bye babe," Cameron says. Holy shit. He called me babe. Keep calm, Vanessa. Keep calm.

"Bye," I say simply.

•Connor's POV•

I finally got a girlfriend to get over Vanessa. Her name is Karly. I've seen her and Vanessa talk so I'm assuming they're somewhat friends and she won't be mad. But boy was I wrong. The second she saw me with Karly she got so pissed. And she looked almost... hurt?

"Hey Vanessa," Karly said with a side smirk. Wait. Am I missing something here?

"Hey. So are you guys like... together?" Vanessa asked. Before I could say anything, Karly grabbed my hand and said, "Yes, yes we are. Jealous?" And she smashed her face sloppily on mine. Okay. That was disgusting. Vanessa looked really annoyed and mad. Oops.

"Okay. Then I'll leave you guys before the porno starts. Bye," Vanessa said.

"Porno? I didn't mean it like-" I started but she cut me off.

"Whatever. I don't care. I'm going to class now. Bye Connor. Oh and please tell me Kian is picking me up today," Vanessa said. Oops. Guess Kian didn't tell her.

"Um. Actually, I am picking you up after school," I told Vanessa.

"Ugh. Fine. But you can't stay for long. I have plans with someone."

"Oh. Who? Cameron?" I said making fun of him.

"Yes you bitch because he's my boyfriend. Bye now. For good," she told me. Wow. I've never seen her so annoyed and mad. Is she jealous or does she hate Karly? Oh well. Even though my feelings just grow stronger for Vanessa, I need I get over her. She hates me. And I should hate her too.

•Vanessa's POV•

School's finally over and so is my daily beating. Karly just kept mocking me about Connor. I can't believe he's dating her. But when they 'kissed' or swallowed each other, it hurt. A lot. I wish my life wasn't so complicated. I wish my life could be a romantic movie. But no. My life has to be absolute shit.
