Jess and Levi talked things out last night. Apparently they both apologized and he was really understanding about the whole thing.

Thank goodness. She deserves nothing less after all the hell she's been through.

We all walk in together. I hug my lavender sweater to me. It's supposed to get really cold today, and so far we are off to a really bad start seeing as the temperature hasn't budged.

Why can't I live in Florida? Or Texas? Or the Sahara for that matter.

"Oh Adeline!!" I hear a voice yell across the lot.

I turn to see the last person I want to see let alone talk to make his way across the parking lot.

I feel Mal grab my hand. I know whatever it is, I need to face this alone. I give her a reassuring look, and she reluctantly lets me go.

"I'll be back in just a second guys." I reassure them. They both look at my warily, but let me go.

"What?" I ask after I walk over where he stood, near his other jock friends. He nods his head to a part of the lot that is more empty, and I follow him reluctantly. Not that I have a choice. Its now in public, or later in the comfort of his own home. And ill never chose the latter.

"I'm sorry about father dearest last night, he only had the best intentions." He finally tells me after we had stopped and made sure nobody was around.

"Is that why I'm here? So you can taunt me about it?" I hiss out at him.

"No, although that might be fun as well."

"Just spit it out."

"As you probably could tell, he's getting sloppy." I snort in an unladylike way.

"He's been sloppy, what's your point?"

" I'm here to propose something."

I hesitate. If he had a plan, it could only end badly.

My eyes meet his warily, unsure of what vile plan he's conjured up. I begin to turn, looking for my exit. "This was a bad idea. I have to get to class..."

Im stopped by his hand on my arm, which leaves as soon as its made contact and served its purpose of whirling me back around.

"Maybe he could lay off a bit if I was promised some time with you. It wouldn't be hard at all," he tells me, backing me up. "All you have to do is give me the word."

I feel my face contort in disgust. "Never." But he doesn't stop walking. His eyes give away his intentions, staring at the small bit of midriff that my sweater shows due to him pulling at my sleeve earlier. I start getting nervous. "Kingsley, we are in public."

He abruptly stops himself in his step.

"Of course, how could I forget." He says brushing himself off. Just when I think he's about to walk away, he comes behind me, sliding his fingers around my back as he reaches my opposite ear. I almost vomit when he reaches my waist. "It's a limited time offer, Adeline. Be smart about this." I hear him say right into my ear. He faces me, with an ugly smirk on his face. I move my head, his mouth now almost touching the back of my head. I hear him chuckle, and before he leaves, he runs his fingers through my hair.

When I'm sure he's gone, I shutter. I put my hair up in a bun, restraining myself from cutting it off where I stand.

I hate him. Kingsley Iverson is the only man I hate more than his father.

I walk in to first with a few seconds to spare, reaching the back of the room. I already feel the eyes I cant get out of my head stare me down, but I cant bring myself to meet them. I was shaken from our encounter, Kingsley had never made a proposal like that before. I couldn't help but wonder where it came from as bell rings and I take out my notebook.
