"If you wanted apples, we could have gotten them at the store," Theo remarks, watching me look out the window as the road passes by.

I shake my head. "That takes away all the fun. Have you actually never been to an apple orchard before?"

"Why would I? I just have all the fruit I want brought to me." He replies.

"That's another thing I've been meaning to ask about." I start. "Is every single person in your pack as rich as you are."

His brows scrunch together. "What?"

"I mean, I thought about it and that's the only explanation; you have people do things for you, you apparently helped Julian's business-I assume finically-, you buy me clothes-though you don't have to-, you have a phone that isn't even on the market yet, and you have a car for every day of the week." I inhale sharply after finishing my list, trying to regain my breath. "Does this come along with being in a pack?"

He looks at me for a second, but a crooked smile appears on his face. "No, it doesn't come with a pack. It comes with a business. "

"Your parents run a business?"

"I run a business," he corrects me. "They just own it."

"But, you're in high school. And you have a pack to lead. Why do you have to run it?"

"That's a great question I couldn't answer because there is no logic behind me working yet." He tells me. "I wish I knew why too."

It gets quiet for a while. I can tell there is tension between him and his parents about this. So I keep my mouth shut until another question pops in my head.

"What kind of business is it?"

The gears in his head turn as he contemplates what to say. I almost think he's not going to answer when he surprises me and says, "It's similar to Mr. Sinclairs' business as to what field we are geared towards. I have a bit more authority then Mr. Sinclair though, I'm like his supervisor's supervisor if you will."

I narrow my eyes at him. " So you're a CEO?"

When he glances over at me with a small smile, I can't help but notice his eyes twinkling in amusement. "No, baby, more like a COO. I just carry out what my father conjures up."

Cocking my head to the side, I fire the next one at him, "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want it to seem like I was bragging. I should have told you before." He murmurs out, shrugging his shoulders. My heart palpitates at his sudden hesitancy.

"No Theo," I say, "I'm happy you told me. I don't think you are bragging, I'm proud that you have brought the company so far. But isn't it too much?"

"No," he replies quickly. "I can do it. I've been handling it for about two years now."

"You started working at 16? Shouldn't you, you know, start at McDanlads or Arby's or something?"

He chuckles, taking my hand, while the other was on the steering wheel. "It's not an ideal first job, especially at this age. But I'm doing fine, and I am glad I get to work."

I nod my head, deciding I don't want to press his work load further and risk sounding like I'm stepping on his toes.

"Are you going to college then?" I ask, even though I know he probably doesn't want to talk about it.

"I'll figure that out when it comes." He noncommittally answers me whilst parking at the orchard.

"Ok," I say with a small smile. I pause, hesitating. "I'm glad we had this conversation." I squeeze his hand, and upon the gesture, our eyes meet. My breath staggers as he looks down at my lips. I try to lean forward, but I can't move. So he does instead. I feel my heartbeat increase and finally start to lean in as well, but kiss before our lips meet, he kisses my forehead.
