Lexa's POV
Clarke and I didn't talk much on our way back to Polis. I tried to talk to her about how she's been, but she would just stare at me with a blank expression. I feel terrible about what I did at Mount Weather, I hope she can forgive me.
"Clarke, we need to talk." I told her as I entered her room.
"We have nothing to talk about, Lexa. I shouldn't of came back with you in the first place." she responded without making eye contact with me.
"We have a lot to talk about Clarke. If you shouldn't of came back, then why did you?"
"I don't know. Part of me just wanted to see if you really wanted to protect me from Nia. But after Mount Weather, I don't know if I can really trust you anymore Lexa." she said to me as she looked directly into my eyes.
"Clarke. I care about you. I made a mistake leaving you to save your own people at Mount Weather. I realized that as soon as I got back to Polis and had the time to think about what I did." I said with tears forming in my eyes.
"Well then, if you care about me, don't ever betray me again Lexa. I spent months struggling to find food because I left Arkadia to think about what happened at Mount Weather." she told me looking away.
I bowed down in front of her. She looked into my eyes and waited for me to say something. I need her to know that I care about her so much. My feelings for Clarke have definitely become more powerful than those that I felt for Costia.
"I swear fealty to you, Klark kom Skaikru. I vow to protect you and your people as my own. I would like Skaikru to become the 13th clan in the coallition." I said with honesty.
Clarke looked down at me and gave me a slight smile. She held out her hand to help me up.
"And I accept your invitation. I need to talk to my people about this first. I need Kane and my mom's opinion about this before we continue."
I nodded and took her hand.
"Skaikru will be here in a week, we can discuss this with the leaders when they arrive. Until then, you can either stay in your room and do as you please, I will have guards outside your door to protect you. Or, you can come with me and I will protect you and we can talk while we wait for your people to get here." I reply.
"The second option seems much more amusing than being locked in a room until they arrive."
"It's getting late Clarke, get some rest and I will have someone wake you up for breakfast."
"Reshop, Heda." she said with a small smile.
"Goodnight Wanheda."
I start walking out of her room but I feel someone pull my arm and turn me around into a hug.
"Thank you, Lexa." said Clarke as I hug her back.
"I missed you so much Clarke" I said as we both let go.
I head out of her room and I talk to Ryder, her guard and tell him to wake her up for breakfast. He nods and I head to my room to go rest.
