Chapter 47 - How we met

Clarke's POV

It's been ten weeks of traveling through all of the clans and we've arrived in a small Trikru village near Trishanakru. We mounted off our horses and headed into the village. A few people greeted us as we walked in, the majority of them were eating near the fire and haven't noticed our arrival. Lexa and I sneak off to a tent that was set up for us while the guards go to their tents. We unpack our things while occasionally stealing kisses. Once we're done, we go to the fire and grab some food. There weren't many people there and it was getting dark so nobody recognized us. It was nice not to have people constantly around you talking to you, but I enjoy learning about others.

"Lexa? Clarke?" someone called behind us.

We turn around and we see Anya.

"Anya! What are you doing here?" Lexa asked.

"Heard that you guys would be here and decided I would come and see you guys." she replied.

"How's Arkadia doing?" I asked her.

"Better than a few weeks ago, people were still getting over Bellamy's death." she said.

"How's my mom?"

"She's great. Also, she's in a relationship with Kane, if you weren't already aware."

"I could sense the tension last time I saw them in a room together. I'm happy that they're together."

"I'll see you guys tomorrow, I'm going to sleep."

"See you tomorrow Anya." Lexa and I say.

She clears our plates and hers as she gets up and walks away. Lexa and I agree that we should be going to bed. We stay near the fire for a few more minutes talking and then we finally decide to get up and go to bed. We start to get undressed and I feel a pair of arms wrap around my waist. I turn around to face Lexa and she kisses me. I kiss her back and the few kisses turns into an intense make out session before we got to bed.

The following morning we wake up and get ready. Once we exit our tent we were greeted by a large mass of people. We're given food and we sit with the guards to eat breakfast. Anya comes and joins us after a few minutes.

"I spoke to Murphy and Emori before coming here. They wanted to thank you for forgiving him about what he's done in the past and defending him." she says to me.

"Emori picked a nice guy." Lexa says.

"How do you know her?" I say.

"When we were younger, Anya brought me to her in the woods. I only just became the Commander and I was in TonDC saying bye to people since I was moving the Polis. I went into the woods and I didn't know why she was so important that Anya brought me to her until she told me she's a mutant. I couldn't care less if she had birth defects but I knew that if I she was seen she would be killed or I would be killed because people think she's a stain on the bloodline. I had Anya bring her food and water until I left for Polis and had Anya bring her with me but a day later so nobody would suspect anything. Nobody knew about her, which made it easy for her to blend in with everyone." Lexa replied.

"You're such a nice person, that why I love you." I say.

"At first I questioned her but she convinced me that she's just like any of us." Anya said.

We finish eating while talking and everyone went to work and we helped around with hunting and other things people needed help with for the rest of the week. Lexa would take me to some places in the forest so that we could just talk. Our last stop on this trip is Trishanakru and I can't wait to go there.
