Chapter 17 - Nice to see you again

Lexa's POV

Clarke has been helping her mom in medical while I've been looking around and helping people who need it. There are groups of grounders that help people from Skaikru train and at times I train with them. I find myself talking with Anya the majority of the time.

"Open the gate!" I hear a guard say.

I look at the gate and I notice a group of people. Nyko is one of them, he's carrying a girl, but I can't tell who she is. He walks straight to medical and I follow him. He lays the girl down and walks over to Abby to explain what happened. I take a close look at the girl and I don't believe my eyes. Arkadia is full of surprises.

"This can't be." I whisper to myself.

Abby and Clarke rush to the girl and I stand behind them watching them work. They manage to fix her bounds with bandages while I stand there in disbelief. I haven't seen her in years. Since the conclave, to be more precise. Abby leaves to go take care of another patient. While Clarke stands beside me.

"You know her?" she asks.

"Yes. Ever since we got here, I've been surprised by who I meet here. First it was Anya. Now I finally see her after all these years. The missing circle to my back tattoo. Luna kom Floukru, the Natblida who ran away from the conclave. Very bold decision, I respect her choice. I had to tell Titus several times that we can't kill her. I wanted her to live because I knew she was important to people. She didn't want to become Heda and I understand that, so I let her live. She ran away to Floukru and she became one of the most important people in that clan." I respond.

"The 8th circle. I understand now. She should wake up in a couple hours, I'll come and get you when she does. You can go back to doing what you were doing."

"Can you teach me how to help people and treat their wounds?" I ask.

"That sounds like a good idea."

Clarke and I spend hours helping patients. She taught me how to properly bandage a wound and how to stitch up a deep cut. After about 3 hours I notice Luna is finally waking up. I walk up and sit next to her bed. She opens her eyes and looks at me.

"Lexa?" she asks quietly.

"It's good to see you Luna."

"It's good to see you too Commander."

"You can call me Lexa. Can you tell me what happened to you?"

"Yes, but where am I?"

"You're in Arkadia, the Skaikru camp."

"Okay. I was on my way to TonDC to finally meet you again but I was attacked by Azgeda on my way there, I managed to fight them off, but they injured me. When I got to TonDC I was getting weaker. I collapsed at the gate and Nyko immediately picked me up and brought me here I guess." she explains.

"Azgeda will pay for this." I respond

"Lexa please, it's okay. They're angry that I left. I understand why they reacted like that."

"I told everyone not to look for you. I told them that if they see you, they should leave you alone. I understand why you left Luna. I forgive you for leaving the conclave."

"If I weren't stuck on this bed I would definitely hug you." she smiles at me.
