Chapter 7 - Titus

Lexa's Pov

I awoke this morning naked, remembering what happened last night with Clarke. She has her hand across my abdomen. I can't stop smiling or thinking about her. I'm happy with her. I know for a fact that I love her but I don't know when it will be the right time to admit that. I notice that Clarke is starting to wake up.

"Good morning, beautiful" I say when her ocean blue eyes look back at me.

"Good morning, what is there planned for today?" she asks.

"Well, I wanted to show you the Natblidas and how well they are progressing. That's if you are interested in coming with me." I answer.

"I would love to come with you, when do they start their training?"

"In an hour, we will get dressed and go eat then we will go."

"Sounds good to me." she sits up and kisses me on the lips and gets off the bed and starts getting ready, I do the same.

After breakfast, we head to the training room where we find Titus and the Nightbloods. I notice that Titus keeps staring at Clarke. He's trying to make her uncomfortable and I know it.

"Titus, how are they doing?" I ask him so he would stop staring at Clarke.

"They have progressed immensely, Heda." he replied.

"Can I talk to you in private Titus?"

"Yes, Heda."

"Clarke, you can stay here and watch them train and talk to them, I have to talk to Titus in private."

"Okay Lexa," she replied and looked back at the Natablidas.

I lead Titus to the outside of the room.

"Why were you staring at Clarke?"

"You know why. Love is-"

"Weakness. You keep reminding me, but you are wrong Titus it is not weakness, it is strength." I replied, not impressed by his words.

"To be Commander, is to be alone." he started.

"I will not hear this again."

"Yes you will. Your feelings for Clarke put both of you in danger. You must send her home, the Ice Nation is not happy with you killing the Queen. They want revenge. They want to wipe out Skaikru. Do not make her par for your mistakes as Costia did."

I glared at him for 5 seconds.

"My mistakes? Azgeda cut off Costia's head and delivered it to my bed and still I let them into my alliance." I say loudly. "I am more than capable of separating feelings from duty." I say with a louder tone in my voice.

"I'm sorry, Lexa, I didn't mean to offend you" he replied but I know he isn't being truthful.

"Yes you did." I say sternly. "But you also mean well and I know that."

"May I make arrangements for her departure?"

"That's up to Clarke."

"Alright."

We both went back inside and saw that Clarke was training with the Natblidas. She saw us come in and walked towards me. Titus walked to the Nightbloods.

"Everything okay?"

"No. Titus want you to leave and go back home. I told him it's up to you, but it's better if you stay here, it's safer." I replied.

"I'm never leaving you. I love you, Lexa." did she just admit that she loves me? Titus is wrong about love being a weakness. i know that because Clarke has proven to me that it is strenght.

"I love you too, Clarke." I replied with a smile. She gave me a hug and whispered into my ear.

"I missed you so much during those few months alone."

"I missed you too." I gave her a kiss on her cheek and she blushed.

We let go of each other and returned to watching the Natblidas train. I notice Titus glare at us but he returned his attention to the kids.
