Clarke's POV
Lexa and I were corned in the room by Jaha and his group. There can't be more than 20 of them, I dont recognize any of them, except for one guard from Arkadia, the others are grounders. Lexa hands me one of her two swords. I nod once I understand she's telling me we must kill them since we currently have no other option. We both lunge in different directions and kill everyone in the group. Jaha was the only one left standing. Lexa and I approached him.
"It doesn't have to be like this, take the chip and the pain will be gone. The pain that follows you around after the events of Mount Weather, the pain that follows you after Costia's murder. Join me and take the chip." he told us.
"Never." I say and I take a step closer and push my sword through his stomach. He doesn't scream but falls down because of blood loss, like the rest of the group. Lexa looks at me shocked, but gives me a smile.
"I didn't think you would kill him, since he is one of your people." she says.
"He stopped being my people the day he floated my father. Besides, I can't let him take away what makes us human." I resopnd as I give her back her sword. She smiles at me and hugs me tightly.
"We should probably get someone to clean this up." she says.
"Yeah, that wouldn't be a bad idea." I laugh.
Lexa opens the door and walks to go find someone to clean this up. While she does so, I take a moment to process what just occurred in this room. I can't believe Jaha mentioned what happened at mount weather. Not only that, but he brought up Costia and I don't fully know if Lexa has completely moved on from her death. I know she's strong, but i don't know if she's that strong.
The door opens and Lexa walks in with a few people. They start cleaning up and Lexa walk over to me.
"What are we doing with the bag and the chips?" I ask her.
"Burn them so nobody can ever get a hold of them again."
"Alright. Are you okay?"
"I'm fine Clarke, don't worry."she responds.
"I know when you're upset, is it because of Jaha and what he said?"
"Partly yes. I still feel horrible about what I did at Mount Weather, but I don't care about the fact that he mentioned Costia's death. I already got over it and accepted the fact that I cannot change the past. I need to live my life in the present."
"Lexa, I already told you that I don't care about Mount Weather, you did what you had to do to save your people. I love you no matter what." I say and she gives me a small smile.
"I love you too, Klark kom Skaikru. (Clarke from Sky people)" she responded.
The people finish cleaning up and I take out my sketchbook while Lexa takes a seat on the couch and starts reading a book about astrology, what a nerd. A few minutes later, once I finish a sketch of a tree, I notice she fell asleep holding her book and I start to draw her in my sketchbook. When I finish I get up to get changed for dinner. I wake her up and she looks over at the chair where I left the picture I drew of her. She gets up and walks over to it and picks it up. She looks at me and smiles.
"This is beautiful." she says
"Well, it's a drawing of the most beautiful woman in the world, so yes it is beautiful." I respond.
She smiles and gives me a kiss before we leave the room to go eat dinner.
