Long story short, my papa (who was honestly more of a father to me that a grandpa) died 2 weeks ago. He was a preacher. Now that you know the background, let's continue on to the actual post:
My Spotify songs are shuffle, right? Trust me, the genre variety is insane. It's great. Anyway, so I'm jamming and doin' schoolwork just enjoying myself when a freaking Christian song plays.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Christian music... but holy moly it's causing my chest to physically ache so bad. Of course, the one person who pops in my mind when a Christian song plays is Papa. The only music he ever listened to was gospel and contemporary Christian music. It hurts to hear these genres.
The worst part is that I can't bring myself to skip these songs! I don't know why, but it's torture. I might as well be beating myself up from the inside out.
(Only posted this here cause I'm starting to avoid directly telling my friends about this stuff. My grief is driving them away so...shrug shrug.)
