I've never been in a fandom the way I'm a part ARMY. Like, it's so serious. It's my constant side-occupation: being an ARMY. I've never felt loved by a famous person the way I feel loved by the 7 men that make up Bangtan Sonyeondan. I've been in other close fandoms before, yeah, but no fandom has ever been as tight as ARMYS are. We've always got each other's back whether or not we know whose back we've got.
There's a difference between being in something great and being a part of something great. Most ARMYS are a part of this fandom. This huge fandom alone is almost a family in terms of dynamics. We bicker, we scold those who step out of line, we have parental figures, we have rotten apples, we have those embarrassing members we wish we weren't associated with, we celebrate the good, we fight against the unjust, we keep each other humble, we back each other up, we work together, we help one another, we offer solace and guidance. It's a comfortable place to be and it's okay to be yourself.
Then we get those people who grow extra close in this fandom and BTS is literally the glue that sticks us together. We build mini-families throughout this fandom and ARMY is basically a huge ass kinship tree. I feel like I belong somewhere because of Bangtan, because I'm an ARMY. Bangtan's ARMY is like a second home to me, and it makes me happy.

It makes me happy because in this "home," we are together with common goals. Our common goal is to make RM happy. Our common goal is to make Jin happy. Our common goal is to make Suga happy. Our common goal is to make J-Hope happy. Our common goal is to make Jimin happy. Our common goal is to make V happy. Our common goal is to make Jungkook happy. Our common goal is to make Bangtan Sonyeondan happy. Our common goal is to help them succeed and smile and thrive and make sure the whole world knows just how wonderful BTS is.

I was multifandom once, but ARMY ruined that haha. Some people may not be in this deep, and some people never will. But for others...once we truly find home in this tree and build our nests, there's no room for the other fandoms. Our free time is consumed with supporting Bangtan Sonyeondan.
