Love is the answer

Chapter 36

Demi entered the bus and sat next to Nick.

"Hi, Demi, good morning" The boy said, giving his friend a smile which Demi gave him back.

"Hey, Nick,  good morning to you too" Demi said and sighed as her eyes looked around herself.

Selena and Marissa were sitting together in front of her and Nick. Logan and Ruben were sitting next to them and Joe was alone behind her and Nick.

Then she looked for Wilmer but, sad enough, she didn't see him.

"Are you excited for camp?" Nick asked her. She nodded her head. "A lot. And you?" Nick chuckled.

"I am" He giggled. "I've never been on camp before" Demi told him. "No?" Nick asked. She shook her head.

"Well... I've been on camp a couple of times..." And he started talking about going camping but Demi didn't pay any type of attention to him because Wilmer entered the bus.

He was laughing while he talked to someone on the phone.

Gosh, she loved his laugh, it made her feel so alive and it gave her butterflies.

She sighed as her eyes travelled down his body.

He was wearing and a blue shirt and 3/4 lenght trousers.

Suddenly, his eyes reached hers. She couldn't help but blush a little bit and show him a little smile.

He smiled back and waved. She quickly waved back and looked at Nick who was now looking at her with a confused look on his face.

"What?" She asked, giggling. "I'm almost sure there's something going on between you and that teacher" Nick spoke.

"What are you talking about? He's a teacher, Nick, a teacher!" She forced a laugh.

"Yeah but..." Nick started. "Are you kidding me? Why would I date a teacher? And why would he date a student? I'm sure he has a girlfriend" Demi said.

"You're right. Sorry" Nick quickly said and started talking about his past camp adventures while Demi's mind flew away, making her day dream about herself and Wilmer.

Demi opened her eyes and realized the bus was still moving. Everything was dark around her. Nick was sleeping and the rest of her friends too.

She looked through the window and she could see the bright moon shining in the dark sky.

A sigh escaped her lips. She felt so excited for the camp but, at the same time, she was nervous.

Her eyes looked for Wilmer and, quickly,  noticed him.

Wilmer wasn't sleeping but his eyes were glued to the screen of his cell phone.

She giggled and reached for her own phone and wrote a quick message to Wilmer.

"Hey, I see you only got eyes to your phone"

He smiled and looked up at her before replying to her message.

"Is there something better to look at?"

She giggled again and started to type an answer.

"I think there is definitely SOMEONE better to look at."

He shook his head before looking at her again.

"Don't know what you're talking about lol ;)"

She chuckled a little bit at his stupid answer.

"Idiot" She simply replied.

"You love me" He said back.

"Not really" Demi typed back.

"I know you do" Wilmer send his message. She sighed.

"And I know you prefer looking at me than looking at a phone"

He laughed quietly.

"You're right. You're way more attractive than a stupid phone"

Demi couldn't help but laugh at his answer but she also thought it was cute.

Just when she wad about to give him a reply, the bus stopped.

"We're here" the chauffeur announced,  getting up from his seat.

Demi woke her friends up.

"We're finally here!" She exclaimed.

When they jumped out of the bus, Demi slightly touched Wilmer's hand with hers. Just to feel him close to her.

He smiled and wished he could hug her and kiss her.

"Guys, it's really late so enter the tents in groups of three or four people. Good night" An old man said to all of them. Demi quickly looked at Selena and Marissa and the three girls entered one of the tents.

"I'm so tired" Demi said, laying on a matress as she pulled the covers on top of her. Marissa and Selena did the same as her.

"Yeah, me too" Marissa replied letting ouy a long sigh. "I can't wait till tomorrow. I bet we will have a lot of fun" Selena added as her friends already closed their eyes.

"I bet that too" Demi mumbled before falling asleep.

"Demi, Demi..." A weak voice called her name. When she opened her eyes she saw a man standing in front of her.

She did not know who he was but when she looked good, she noticed it was a police officer.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Demi asked, sitting up.

"That, Miss. Lovato, doesn't matter. I'm here to tell you that Mr. Valderrama is already in jail" He calmly told her.

"What?!" She quickly jumped off the bed.

"That cannot be true!" She added, feeling the tears in her eyes.

"Yes it is. A girl called Jules told us about him taking advantage of you so you don't have to worry anymore. He will never touch you again" The policeman said.

"But I love him!" She yelled, scared.

"You don't" The man said.

"I do, I do love him. I love him! I love him!"
