Nathaniel returned to his home palace after his short meeting with Thomas.
''You went to Raymond's palace?'' his mother's voice caught him off guard while he was in his room staring at the tapestry on his front wall.
''Umm... Yes mother.'' he replied.
''Did you tell that to anyone?'' she asked.
''Uhh... I clearly don't know what you are talking about.'' he said avoiding eye contact with his mother.
''Nathaniel, please don't lie. You know I can tell when you are lying.'' his mother said standing in front of him blocking his view of the tapestry.
He said nothing for a while, then he looked at his mother and spoke, ''I told Thomas, after all we are good friends and he has a right to know it.''
''I understand son. But how do you know that he won't tell anyone?'' she asked.
''I trust him, and we made a blood bond.'' Nathaniel replied looking at the cut in his right palm.
Blood bond was the last and the most strong stage of a promise or deal between two royals. If the second person even broke any conditions in the deal or promise, then the both royals die.
Queen Audrey took his wounded hand in her soft ones and healed his palm without muttering any enchantment. Then she looked up at his son and spoke,
''Tonight's dinner is very important, you better be there.'' With that she left Nathaniel's room.

Nathaniel entered the main hall and quickly noticed the changes in the hall. There were several round tables besides their rectangular royal table. He took his usual seat at the table and moments later King and Queen joined the table. Queen Audrey was holding Ella, she gave her to Janet, who was standing behind her chair. Then she turned around and looked at Elbert (man who was murdered at King Raymond's palace) who was standing behind King Edmund's chair and spoke to him, ''Elbert, please if you'll call the staff.''
After some time all the working staff of the palace, both male and female, were in the main hall. King Edmund motioned his hand and told everyone to sit around the round tables and everybody did so. Then the food was served and everyone started eating.
Curiosity was eating Nathaniel from inside, he badly wanted to know what was happening but at the same time dreaded to know anything about it. After the dinner King Edmund stood up and the hall went silent, then he spoke,
''I know you all must be thinking why we called a grand dinner suddenly out of nowhere tonight.'' he gave a sweeping look to people sitting in the hall. ''The reason is, we are going to make an important announcement.'' Nathaniel looked up at his father, praying that he won't say anything about the thing he was thinking of. ''From now on you all are free of every duty of this palace.'' A sudden murmur spread in the hall, the King raised his hand and everyone became quiet. ''What I mean is, from now on there will be no King or Queen to rule over Kingdom Eridanus.'' he spoke.
